1. the First Sight of Him Comes With a Trip
I jerked into awareness, woken up by a strange sound in my backyard.. I got up and noticed that I was dressed in jeans and a tee-shirt. Great, I had slept in my clothes again... I put on clean clothes and some shoes and walked for the door. Before I even opened it, I was confused. It sounded like some sot of weird engine starting up. I opened the door to see a blue public call police box like the ones I had known in my childhood in this old England home so long ago. I circled the box and touched it, trying to figure out why it was in my backyard. "What are you doing here, old girl? I wanted to go back into the Victorian times and..." He cut himself off as I rounded the corner and into his field of vision. "Who... How did...." He came out and grabbed my hand, whispering to me. "Don't blink..." I stood still as he led me over to the police box. I turned around and saw a statue angel. "Why shouldn't I blink?" He took a long breath. "That's a weeping angel. See the cupped hands in front of her face?" I nodded and he continued. "Well, It'll kill you. It's not just a normal angel." I looked at the angel, not believing it could move. "Who are you?" I asked. "Well, I have lots of names, but you can just call me The Doctor." I didn't question. I was too scared. Did it just move slightly? "I'm LusettaFawn, but you can call me Lusetta or Lu. Everyone does." He nodded. "Would you like to go to Victorian times with me? It'll get you away from this angel." I nodded as he pulled me back into his blue box. "Ok. You're safe now, Lusetta. It can't get in here now." I heard the engine start up even though I couldn't see it yet. I blinked and my eyes watered slightly. Once my eyes had readjusted, I gasped. The simple box looked more like an alien spaceship. "Where am I?" I questioned, looking at the several tubes and pipes and... What are those? Orbs on the walls? "You're in my T.A.R.D.I.S. Stands for Time And Relative Dimension In Space. I'm glad you came along, though. I was getting rather lonely." I looked at him. He was dressed in a brown trench coat and suit. His hair was spiked in the front and was a nice medium brown. He was very handsome and cute to me. "What did you say your name was again?" "The Doctor. Or just Doctor, if you'd like. I don't mind either way..." I wondered, but kept quiet. "Um, so, Victorian huh?" He smiled, as if he knew how I was feeling. "Yea, one of the places I love to go in my spare time." I looked around again. "You know, she's bigger on the inside..." He smiled, obviously amused. "Oh, there's more to her than this. And, thank you for calling her a "her" and not an "it" as most people do." I raised an eyebrow. "Why wouldn't I? She seems to be a living thing, too." I touched her panel board, but I noticed The Doctor watching me closely. "I think you're pretty special to her... and to me in time..." I looked at him inquisitively, but he said nothing more. The last bit seemed to be in my head and not out loud, but I didn't bring it up. "We're here." He said and ran over to the door to open it. When he did, I couldn't believe my eyes. "Victorian London!" I yelled, my breath speeding up and my eyes opening to be slightly wider as the true Victorian London lay at my feet before me!
