One year later...
Perrie was getting married. I wasn't aware that she was engaged. We have a new boss for our company now after Ethan had been fired. "Zayn is never keeping his eye off of you again after he sees you in this dress." Jesy smiled.
Jesy, Jade, and another girl, Leigh-Ann were Perrie's bridesmaids. Leigh-Ann had joined to work with us at the company, taking the desk which was formerly Harry's. "I know. I am so nervous. I just want to get this wedding over with." Perrie smiled.
Perrie took it upon herself to make me her maid of honor. Liam, Niall, and Louis were Zayn's groomsmen. The wedding ceremony had begun as the girls walked down with their partners. I walked alone and took my place near Jade.
Everyone stood as Perrie began to walk down the aisle with her parents. She took her place beside me, handing me her bouquet and everyone was seat. Perrie has always been a happy person and to think that Zayn could be the one to complete her, it was like a fairytale come true.
While the ceremony commenced, I looked for a pair of green eyes in the crowd. I didn't let myself think that Harry was dead because I believed that he was still alive. A part of me had let that thought go. Harry was dead.
Finally, they were announced to everyone as Mr. and Mrs. Zayn Malik. I handed her back the bouquet as the two of them walked down the aisle hand in hand. There was still time before the reception started and everyone invited me to join them for a drink.
The reception was being held outside in a tent. I agreed to join them and we walked across the street to local bar. "I wonder who's going to get married next." Jade smiled, taking a sip of her drink.
"Probably you Jade." I teased.
"What? No way!" Jade had been eying Niall the entire time since we sat down. I think the two had a thing for each other. "It's obvious you and Niall like each other." Jesy agreed.
"I think Cam and Liam are going to be the ones who'll get married." Leigh-Ann said. Liam and I exchanged glances with one another. "We're not evening dating." Liam said. Liam and I were only friends. We hardly thought of becoming more than just friends.
"Well, one of us is getting married next." Jade took another sip of her drink. When it was time for the reception to begin, we all left the bar and made our way towards the tent. "Hey Cam, can I speak to you for a minute?" Louis asked as he reached out and touched my arm.
The entire group hardly noticed that we weren't following them. Jesy noticed because I saw her head turn to look at Louis and I. Louis motioned with a hand, telling her to go on ahead. She nodded and followed everyone inside the tent.
"What's going on?" I asked him. Louis reached into his pocket from inside his blazer and pulled out a black box. "This is was sent to me to be given to you." he said. I took the box from him and opened it. A note fluttered to the ground as I bent down to pick it up.
This was hard for me to say this, but I love you. I know this is not the best way to tell you. I'm sorry about what happened that night at Zayn's apartment, but I couldn't help either of us if we stayed. You were never going to be safe, not with me. So in order to keep you safe, I had to let you go.
I want you to move on and my death will allow for you to move on. I hope you'll find someone new, someone who could make you happy. Maybe someone like Liam or Louis even. I didn't take a bullet for just anyone. I took a bullet for you.
You mean the entire world to me. Your smile, your eyes, your laugh, and everything about you I have fallen in love with. You are the light that has shown me the way Cam, and I thank you for that. You have made me see things in a different way.
In many ways we are a lot alike and that sets you apart from a lot of other girls that I have been with in the past. You and your curious mind has surely gotten in some deep trouble, but you've discovered secrets that no one will be able to uncover.
As for the death of my mum, I know who my killer was. I would've loved to see Zayn and Perrie get married today, give them my best. This isn't the last thing I'm going to give you. Camille, you are the best thing that's ever happened to me and don't you forget that.
I would love to be there with you, to hold you in my arms, to hold your hand, to hear your voice, to see you smile, to kiss your lips. My heart will always belong to you, and no one else.

I folded the note and looked at what was inside the box. It was a beautiful necklace with sapphire jewels. I put the note inside the box and closed it. Louis reached out and gave me a hug as I cried.
He rubbed my back, reassuring me that everything was going to be okay. After my tears were dried, we walked to the tent and sat in our seats. Everyone was having such a great time at the wedding, I just couldn't put a damper on their happiness.
I walked out of the tent and walked down the pathway, then sat on a bench. Why'd you have to die Harry? Why'd you have to leave me here, miserable and alone? You were supposed to be my date. You were supposed to be the one dancing with me.
I read over the note multiple times that I hardly lost count and began to memorize the note by heart. 'My heart will always belong to you, and no one else.' I could imagine his voice in my mind when I closed my eyes.
I could feel his hand against my cheek, gently caressing it. I opened my eyes and looked around to see if Harry had magically appeared beside me. He wasn't there. I sighed and stood up. There were guests leaving the party.
Louis and I walked back to his car, then got in. He drove me back to the apartment. "Thanks for the ride." I smiled.
"Any time Camille." Louis smiled. I leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek, then bid him good night before getting out of his car. I walked into the lobby, carrying my heels, and the black velvet box with the necklace inside.
I stepped into the elevator, but before the door closed, a man stepped in. The doors closed and he pressed a button as the elevator climbed. I was afraid to glance over at the man, but I did anyway.
He had brown curly hair, wearing a navy blue long sleeved shirt with his sleeves rolled up. He slung his blazer over one shoulder and ran a hand through his curly locks. I noticed the arm he used, the arm with the numerous tattoos.
He looked over as his eyes caught mine. I looked away, blushing. I had been looking for too long. The elevator opened on his floor. The twelfth floor. He stepped out and turned to face me. He smiled that dimpled smile and winked at me. "Good night Miss Devine."
That was all he said before the doors closed and the elevator resumed to climb to my floor. I was in a daze and hardly realized that the doors opened when it reached my floor. Frantically, I pressed the button to the twelfth floor as the doors closed.
The elevator couldn't move any faster. Anxiously I paced back and forth in the elevator, then heard it ding. The doors opened and I stepped out, looking both left and right. Which way was Harry's apartment?
It finally clicked and I half-walked, half-ran down the hallway. I finally came to a stop at his door. 1215. I reached up and held my hand there for a moment. Should I knock? What should I say? I was so nervous. I wasn't sure if it was really him, but I had to know that it was really him.
Who else would know my name? I knocked at the door and waited a few minutes. I heard the sound of the door unlocking and it suddenly swung open. I was met face to face with his green eyes. It was him.
Without any hesitation, I wrapped my arms around him and my lips touched his. I felt his arms wrap around me, pulling me into the apartment. I heard the door close behind me. I set my stuff down on the couch as he began to unzip my dress.
I unbuttoned his shirt, quickly taking it off. My dress fell to the floor and I began to undo his pants. Hearing them drop to the floor, he stepped out of it and then scooped me into his arms. He carried me into the bedroom and laid me down on the bed.
He pulled down his boxers and climbed on top of me, kissing my lips. Then he moved to my neck and slowly kissed down my body. I gently bit my lip, trying to suppress my moans but as soon as he passed my stomach, there was no holding back.
He thrusted his hard member deep into me as our hands intertwined with one another. It seemed as if we both longed for that glorious moment. It felt like forever since I've felt that way. Afterwards, everything had died down and he laid down next to me.
I turned on my side and glanced at him as he wrapped an arm around me. "Why didn't you tell me?" I asked him.
Harry faced me as he reached up with the other hand, brushing a stray hair away from my face. "Tell you what?"
"That you were alive this entire time. For a year, for a year I thought you were dead."
"And I wanted you to think that. One of us had to make it out of that apartment alive, it was going to be me or you."
"I wanted it to be you."
"I wouldn't have anyone to live for Cam. I lost my mum, my sister could still be in London for all I care, and I would've lost you. I can't live with that. I can't live knowing that you're not with me, by my side. I can't live knowing that I'm the reason you're dead.
"I can't live with that. I don't mean anything to anyone, so I'm good as dead Cam." I reached up and touched his face, softly caressing his cheek. "You are not as good as dead. You mean a lot to me Harry. You have no idea what I've been through.
"I heard multiple gunshots that night. I- I felt broken without you, lost, afraid. No one could replace you, not Liam or Louis. I couldn't have anyone when my heart belonged to you." I began to tear up and he wiped a tear away that had escaped down my cheek. "I love you Harry."
There. I said it. I've been wanting to tell him that for the longest time and now I did. "I love you too Cam." He leaned in and kissed my lips as I kissed him back. In that moment, Harry and I were one. We were meant to be together.
I pulled away and smiled, "I'm ready to tell you that poem."
