"I guess we'll have to play one on one." Tori said as she came back down the stairs. "I couldn't find Jed anywhere! he must have gone to the skate park or something."
"Okay, I got the ball are you ready to go?" I replied.
"Yep, lets go," Tori said.
"You know the auditions for Annie are on Monday are you sure you don't want to try out?" Tori asked me as we walked to the park.
"Yeah, I'm sure. Like I said, I don't sing," I replied half heartedly.
"You mean you don't sing in public. Come on Abril I've heard you singing when you thought no one was listening, you're amazing! I don't know how you don't see it," Tori argued.
"Fine, you win, I do sing just not in front of people. Now will you stop bugging me about this play. I will be exactly where I should be, in the stands cheering you on," I said, sticking my hands into my pockets.
"You could join the stage crew," Tori sugested We walked for a while in silence.
"Okay, never mind, it was just an idea."
We got to the park and set up nets with our shoes, I know bad idea, our feet will be bruised for a week after this but we did it any way and started to play one on one soccer.
We had been playing for almost an hour and the score was at three three when Jed and his friend, Jay, showed up.
"Hey guys want to play?" Tori called out to them.
"Sure, girls against boys?" Jed asked.
"Isn't that a little unfair?" Tori replied questingly.
"You're right, we have to at least give you a chance," Jed said.
"Actually I was thinking that we would beat you, but what ever floats your boat sweaty pie. If you think you can beat us then go ahead and try. "
"First team to ten wins?" Jay sudjested.
Two hours later the boys had beaten us ten to eight and it was starting to get really hot out so we went for ice cream.
Tori offered to get our ice cream for us so we wouldn't all have to stand in line.
I went to the washroom and when I came back it was just Jed sitting at our table, I had been trying to avoid him all day.
I went and sat down because he had already seen me and if I didn't he might question me.
So I sat as far away from him as possible , which sadly wasn't very far.
"Why are you avoiding me?" Jed asked me.
I didn't respond which was a bad idea because it just made him ask more questions.
"Why do you hate me so much?" He asked. after a few minutes of silence he tried again.
"Come on Abril talk to me. what do you have against me?"
I finally gave in and replied. "Lets see, you know almost every thing about me including how I think and you left me with a note, not even saying what your name is. You can see how that might lead to hatred," I said, getting up to leave.
"I don't know everything about you." Jed said.
