He covered my eyes with one hand and held my waist with the other as we left he kitchen and out the front door. The cool air hit my face and I shivered for a moment before Gabriel hugged me tighter, warming me. We walked for a little while before he stopped me.
"Are we there?" I asked him.
"Yes, open your eyes," He whispered into my ear. I did what he said and found myself looking at a huge temple like building. It was beautifully made and two figures stood, almost guarding the door. One was a man with flames encircling his hands and arms, the other was a woman with the same fire encircling here. The only difference was the man's fire seemed to glow lighter while hers glowed darker.
"This is our temple," Hailee said with a slight smile, facing Gabriel. He smiled and swung open the big double doors to the temple.
"Very observant," He smirked. They continued walking into the temple and the inside of it was almost as impressive as the outside. The walls, in parts, gave off a black shimmer from polished rock and the other part looked like ruby, but with little shine. Torches were hung on the sides of the temple and as they entered, a trail of flames led to the cent where an alter stood. The same two figures stood beyond the alter. Hailee sucked in a breath at the sheer beauty of it.
"It's stunningly beautiful," She told him. He smiled before advancing towards her, wrapping his arms around her waist and lifting her slightly so they could be almost at the same level.
"It's not nearly as beautiful as you," He whispered before he leaned in to kiss her. He smelled like spice and smoke. It made her stomach feel weightless as she met his lip and kissed him too. It felt insanely right, almost like what he said made sense. They might belong together. She wrapped her arms around the back of his neck and as he kissed her harder she ran her fingers through his hair. Something was distracting her though, like a small itch that you can't reach, something was bugging her in the back of her mind but she couldn't grasp it. She pushed away from him when his hands moved under her shirt. His skin looked flushed and he was almost breathless.
"I'm sorry did I-" He started but she cut him off.
"No, not it's my fault. This is just, a lot of things to take in," She said softly. He nodded and ran a hand through her hair.
"I understand, you need some rest anyhow, it's very late," He agreed. He took her hand and led her to a far side of the temple where crimson double doors where intertwined with gold and black designs. She guessed this was her room since everything seemed to match. He hugged her one last time and placed a small kiss on her forehead before saying goodnight and leaving for his room.
As the doors closed with a slight noise she wandered her massive room. She noted that it felt too big for her and she would always have more space then she needed. The walls were a plain dark red color and the floor was some sort of dark colored wood. It made the room darker then it was she also noted. At the end of the room was a king size bed for her. A large chest resided at the end of it. Nothing else was really in the room except for a desk and another door which, upon further inspection, proved to be a bathroom. She was surprised to see the bathroom to be all white though, instead of the trademark red and black. When her feet felt like mush and her eyes were falling like weights she stripped down into her underwear and bra and slipped into bed.
She remembered right before she fell asleep that there were random messages in her mind that now seemed to be shouting at her. She listened to each one by one and was confused. Random people she had never heard of were trying to reach her. Flitiarn seemed to almost spark something in her memory but she couldn't place it. As for the man named Trevor she had no idea who he was and this scared her. She decided that she would ask about it in the morning though.
