Her hair was still its beautiful silver but it was duller now. Her eyes were still their baby blue color and her skin was white like paper. Her wings hit the sides of the tent before she folded them in to her sides.
"Alex-" Zander whispered. He was running to her instantly. Alex was like Zander's mom, he loved her. She smiled and hugged him tight her her body. Her eyes getting watery.
"Zander, my how you have grown," She told him touching his chin and smiling.
Trevor was stunned for a moment by her unexpected appearance. He caught himself though, and regained his stone faced persona before saying, "Alex, what are you doing here? You betrayed us for Gabriel you are not welcome here,"
"Trevor-" Zander said, he looked hurt that Trevor would even say that to her.
"No, he has a right to be angry," Alex said nodding, "I have a lot to explain to you all but I did not come here to swap stories,"
"Then why did you come here?" Trevor asked Alex. Everyone else in the room remained quiet.
"To warn you," She replied.
"About?" Trevor was growing tedious of begging for the answer.
"You may think that Gabriel wanted to get Hailee for his own love interests but I promise, he has a motive far more sinister then that," She told them.
"And why should we believe you? You did leave us for years for him," Trevor hissed. Zander looked as if he was getting angry with Trevor's tone.
"True, you have no reason to trust me or believe me but I came here hoping you would," She told him, her eyes pleading.
"Fine, go ahead," He commanded with a roll of his eyes.
"I left shortly before Hailee arrived because war is to breakout inside of Gabriel's guild. She has been honing in on her powers of darkness and that is a very powerful ability to have. Gabriel knows this and he knows how much destruction her power can bring," Alex shivered. Luke spoke up,
"So he is using her? For what? He doesn't know we are even going after her."
"No, he wouldn't need this on you. This is much bigger then you. When I saw him again, he never wanted to hurt anyone before he died. Now all he thinks about is destruction. Hailee can give him that, with her ability she can wipe out a quarter of the planet easily. There is only one fall back about it though," She told them.
"What is it?" Trevor asked.
"When it is used it not only wipes out a quarter of the planet, but it will kill her too," Alex sucked in a breath.
"Of course she would always be reborn again, but that could take years," Alex added. Trevor made what sounded like a low growl in protest.
"You're with Gabriel, you're tricking us so that we can be killed by him," Trevor hissed.
"I do not defend that child," Alex spoke firmly.
"Then why join him?" Trevor questioned. Alex took a breath,
"I went after him, yes, but I went looking for Gabriel, my son. What I found was not my son anymore," She said, her face growing dark. "When Matt and I got there, he was already building an army of followers with the promise he would protect them from the mortals. They all welcomed us warmly at first," Alex looked away for a moment, "Gabriel, he wouldn't listen to us, our pleas for him to let go of Hailee, to give up. He didn't care, it's not even about her anymore, he told us,"
"If its not about her then why is he even building an army?" Luke asked.
"He wants to wipe out the rest of the mortals, to become a supreme ruler of the planet," Alex said.
"But she would only destroy part of the planet not all of the mortals," Trevor told her. Alex sighed,
"Trevor, Hailee is literally an atomic bomb waiting to be set off, that's why we set you to keep her away from the group and from Gabriel. If she can destroy half the population with a small fight with Gabriel, imagine what she could do when she is actually set off," She told him. It finally sunk in and Trevor was in shock.
"We need to get to her now then," Luke spoke up. Trevor was still in shock.
"No, if Gabriel has Hailee then she will be in her most vulnerable point now that she cant remember anything," Alex told him.
"Why should we believe you," Trevor repeated, he knew that she was right but he didn't want to accept it.
"Because he also has Matt, brainwashing him into submission ," Alex spat with venom in her tone, her body shaking, "I know you don't want to trust me, and I can understand that. But I'm asking you to believe me now, for the sake of both our bonds."
