25. The police
Louis took me to the police station, the same police station that Niall had gone to.
"You can't let them take me." I told him before we went inside. "Tell them that I'm staying with your parents if they ask where I am?"
Louis nodded and he smiled reassuring to me.
"I promise. I promised Niall to take care of you and I'm always the one who keeps my promises."
I nodded weakly and went after him through the door. There weren't many people there and I saw many police officers who worked with various crimes. We walked up to the information and I smiled to the woman behind the door.
"Hey, I want to talk to someone in charge of Niall Horan."
She looked up at me and frowned.
"Are you a witness?"
I nodded weakly. What else would I be? The woman didn't seem to hurry and she got fed up. Then she disappeared off and I knew she would help me. I took Louis hand, just to feel safe.
"I'm Inspector Simon Cowell." he greeted me and smiled big. "Is it you who's Hope?"
I nodded weakly. I was still holding Louis's hand and I was scared.
"I just want to tell you my story about what happened."
Simon showed us into an office. I sat down and Louis stood behind my chair. Simon sat down on the other side of the desk and he smiled at me.
"You talked about and Bobby wants to see you."
I shook my head quickly.
"No, I wont see him again. He raped me and it's thanks to Niall that I came from my old home. Niall saved me."
"So it's Bobby who's lying?"
I nodded quickly.
"Niall had my panties with him and there are Bobbys DNA in them if you want proof."
Simon looked down at the papers.
"And the money?"
"Niall took the ones that had belonged to my mom when she was alive." it was a lie but I didn't know how I would defend him. "Bobby did everything to take my mom's things away from me and Niall took what belonged to me."
It seemed that Simon believed in me.
"Do you want to testify against Bobby?"
I got scared.
"I don't want to see him again. He hurt me and he hurt me a lot. He raped me and he was disgusting."
Simon understood me and gazed at me before he smiled weakly.
"We can make the testimony outside the trial. This means that lawyers may write down what questions they want answered and then I can sit down in a room and ask them to you. I record it and then shows up for trial."
I nodded quickly.
"Okay, I can agree to that." I took a deep breath. "And Niall?"
Simon was silent. He hesitated.
"He's still convicted of having stolen the money, but I'll talk to his lawyer. Your testimony is changing everything, and I'll see what I can do." He looked down at the papers. "And how can I get hold of you, where are you staying?"
Louis was quick.
"She will be located in my home. I'll take care of her and you can call my cell phone if you want her something."
Simon looked up at Louis and seemed to hesitate.
"So I'll leave her with you?"
"I know that you have a record of what I've done, but I have never used violence and I promise that my parents make sure she doesn't get into trouble."
Simon nodded weakly.
"I have to call them. Are you staying with your mom now?"
"I ask her to call you when we have come home?"
"Mom doesn't know about this yet." Louis whispered as we left the police station. "We need to talk to her before she talks to Simon."
"What will you tell her"
Louis smiled weakly and looked at me.
"For once, I'll tell the truth."
I smiled and hugged him lightly.
"Thank you to do this for me."
Louis hugged me back.
"It's because I care about you and actually, I like you."
He released me and I saw that he hesitated.
"Hope, you're not as Eleanor and the other girls. You're worth more than this."
