I was surrounded by darkness, but then I began to see light. I was in a hospital. Ugh, what happened? I can't remember anything and my entire body aches. I looked over to see a group of people. They weren't looking at me, but at the floor. Who were they and what were they looking at? I slowly sat up and looked on the floor. It was Sebastian. He was laying on the ground, he looked very pale.
"What's wrong with him?!" I snapped.
They all looked over at me, "you're alive?" the girl asked.
"Yeah, I'm just in a lot of pain. Now tell me what is wrong with Sebastian!"
"Well this is difficult information. We are all vampires, and as you know so was he. Well what happened to him only happens when they are mated."
"Mated?" I asked confused.
"Bit someone," she smiled.
"He hasn't bit anyone."
"I know but you got close to death. If you would of died, he would of too."
Sebastian still laid motionless on the floor. I began to worry, I slowly got up. Even being weak and my legs in severe pain, I managed to walk over to him. Slowly, I leaned down next to him and held his hand. He still wasn't moving, I leaned down and kissed his forehead. Right after that, he began to move again.
"You're alive," he smiled.
"So are you," I smiled back.
"Miranda after today I really hope you will get yourself out of those habits."
"I can't quit drinking," I looked down in shame. It has been a habit for years.
"Then only drink at home."
"Fine," I smiled then we went home.
Once we got back, I went and laid down to rest. Sebastian must not of know I was in the room, or didn't care, but he stripped in the room and went and took a shower. I admired for a second, and his body was amazing. It was very hot, and a little seductive. I wanted him so bad, but I knew he wouldn't yet. Man, this really sucked. When he came out of the bathroom, he was in nothing but a towel and it was kind of hot. He walked over to me and gave me a kiss.
"I want you, Sebastian," I whispered.
He smiled, "I want you too, but I just can't." He pulled away from me.
"Why?" I asked, "aren't I the girl you have been waiting a hundred and fifty years to get?"
"Yes you are. But Miranda, I just can't yet."
"What is it cause we aren't mated?" I asked him.
"No, It's not."
"Then what is it?" I whined.
"Miranda I just can't okay. It's not right and it's not time."
"Why not!" I almost yelled.
"You aren't truly ready."
"Yes I am, not like I haven't done it before."
"Miranda those were humans though. I'm not human. I can't. I could get out of control and bite you on accident."
"Why do I care if you bite me?"
"Because you aren't ready for this kind of life."
"Who said I wouldn't want it?"
He froze and looked at me.
"Sorry," I said then I rolled over and went to sleep.
