Miranda's Dad's POV
He stood taller than me as we discussed the curse. I tried to hide my feelings, I wanted to kill him. Hate ran through my veins, it was hard to resist. He really wasn't a bad looking young man, but his family needed to be wiped off the Earth, I remember what my father told me. All Vampires are the same, none of them are good. When you see one, just kill them instantly. I was only 13 when I found out about my father being a hunter. He explained it ran in our blood, if this was so, why didn't Miranda hate him or vampires?
I woke up to loud noises in the living room, I got up and ran down the stairs. My father and Sebastian had began to fight. I could see my father was trying to kill him, but Sebastian was way stronger than him. I felt anger boil inside of me, how could my father do this to me? He promised he wouldn't, and I know for a fact that my father started it.
"STOP!" I scream at the top of my lungs.
They both froze.
"You promised dad!" I felt hurt as I said that.
Neither one of them said anything.
"I'm ashamed of both of you!" I yelled and walked out of the house.
All I felt was anger, nothing else. I found myself wandering, no idea where I was going. My stomach growled, I now realized I hadn't eaten. I needed food and I was really thirsty, I stopped having no clue where I was.
I turned my back, and the next thing I know he attacked me. I grabbed him and slammed him into the wall hard, then kept him pinned. He was a traitor and couldn't keep his word. If it wasn't for the fact that he was Miranda's father, I would kill him right now. Out of no where I hear Miranda yell at us. I freeze and let go of her father. The look in her eyes shows she knows I didn't start it. But, when she yelled she was ashamed of both of us, I felt hurt. She walked away, and I already knew she was going to get lost, but I let her go anyways. Maybe, it will teach her a lesson for once. Then I could feel her fear, she was clueless and scared. She began to panic and called for me, I left leaving her father there. When I got to her, she was sitting with her head in her knees, leaning up against a tree.
"Miranda," I looked down at her.
"What Sebastian?" Her voice had no emotion in it.
"We need to get your father moved out."
"He attacked me when I had my back turned, I can't trust him."
She looked at me, "I know. I never knew he was a hunter though. I'm sorry. He used to tell me stories of our ancestors being hunters, but I thought it faded away. I had no idea it ran in our blood. But, why don't I hate you? I don't want to kill you."
"I don't know, probably because you liked me before you knew what I was. So, you never got the curse."
"How do we break the curse for my father?" She seemed scared.
"Well," I started, "the paper my great grandfather gave me says you have to resist, and one of the members in the family must fall in love with a member in the hated family."
"Sebastian," she stood up and grabbed my hands.
"Yes Miranda?" I asked, for once not being able to read her mind.
She froze for a second, "Sebastian, I love you."
I froze not believing what I just heard.
Miranda's Dad's POV
I couldn't believe I had attacked him. I really didn't mean to. He took off not to long after Miranda did. I felt ashamed, I loved my daughter and wanted her happy. But, I attacked her boyfriend and tried to kill him. How is that making her happy? I feel like a failure as a father. The stupid curse took over, and I couldn't think straight. About, 30 minutes into them being gone, I began to feel weird. I felt very sick and weak. My body gave out for a second and I fell. When I regained my strength I stood up, I realized I didn't feel any hate, Miranda broke the curse that took over our family for hundreds of years.
