"Good job, sweetheart. Stay strong" my husband, Niall said. I was giving birth to our daughter. I felt my energy going out.
Come on darling you can do it!" my best friend, Eleanor said. She was lucky she wasn't either pregnant or giving birth.
"Okay... 1... 2... 3! Push!" my midwife, in other words, Liam yelled. I pushed and felt the child leaving my body. I felt my body shutting down.
I looked at our daughter, red and crying. Next at Toni.
"Toni?" I said, her eyes were closed. I looked closer. She wasn't breathing. "Toni! Doctor help her!"
Eleanor grabbed my hand. I felt the tears streaming down my face. I looked over at mine and my wife's daughter. The doctors were taking her out the room.
"Hey! Where are you taking her?!" I yelled at them.
"Niall they're taking her to another room. Where all of the other infants are." Eleanor told me. I looked down at Toni and laid my head on her stationary chest. Then cried.
"Toni! Baby! Breath please!" I yelled out. The doctors came in and walked over to her. Eleanor grabbed my shoulders and pulled me back. Telling me that's its okay. Its not okay. I just lost my wife. She had cancer and it took all of her strength just to give birth to my-our- daughter.
"Niall, name." Eleanor said, pulling me out of my thoughts. The doctor was standing in front of me.
"Danielle" I said. Its the name of her mother.
"Suzy" her middle name.
"Horan" The name we share.
"Danielle Suzy Horan" I say.
I looked down to see Toni gone. I'm guessing Eleanor noticed.
"Come on Nail File. Sign the paper." I signed it.
