I've been thinking a lot. A lot about Jonathan and why he left the way he did. So I called my two best friends Carmen and Destinee to come over.
"Knock, knock!" Said Destinee in a singsong voice.
I open the door and see Destinee with her arms opened wide implying for a hug and her black hair straightened. She squeezes me so tight that I can barely breath between her double D boobs drooping out of her tank top. She removes my face and squishes my cheeks together making me look like a fish.
"Oh, my poor baby." She says releasing my face from her manicured nails, then reclines in my living room on my reclining chair and lights up a Newport cigarette.
Carmen walks in with an awkward smirk and her arms crossed. Things are awkward between us. Now anyways. Ever since I found out she had a major lesbian crush and obsession with me. But from what she says that crazy, creepy obsession is no more.
"Hi, Ari." She says in a quiet voice
"Hey Carmen." I try with a grin as I shut the door after her. We sit on my leather black reclining couch.
"So what's going on my little baby?" Destinee says while puffing a baby cloud of cigarette smoke.
"Well, yesterday Jonathan came over an-"
"Oh Ari do tell me, what was he wearing." Destinee says cutting me off.
"Well he was wearing an orange t-shirt, jeans, his orange KDS and a jacket."
"Oh ok sweetie I just wanted a visual, please do continue." She says motioning her hand for me to continue as she takes another puff of her cancer stick.
"Well Jonathan came over and I told him to come over so we could hang out. But I really just thought we were ready to have sex so I went ahead and attempted."
"ARI! That's probably why he left, you lied to him!" Destinee shouts.
"Really Destinee, really." Carmen says cocking her head towards Destinee as her curly hair bounces." You really think Jonathan left Ari that day because she 'lied' to him."
"Uh yeah, it's so obvious."
Carmen scoffs then begins talking.
"If anything Jonathan left because he wasn't ready to have sex yet!"
Destinee cocks her head back as if she's offended by the logical explanation that Carmen has just gave us.
"Uh excuse me, but how could a boy like Jonathan Martins, be how you say, 'afraid' to have sex? If anything it's probably cuz Ariana did have that million dollar pussy!" She exclaims
"We'll no everybody goes sleeping around for one. For two only Jonathan can explain why he acted the way he did!"
This argument is heating up quickly.
"Carmen is right Destinee." I say trying to stop all the chaos that is unfolding in my living room.
"Oh so now I'm wrong and the dyke is right?"
"Ok so I'm a 'dyke' now Destinee?" Carmen says
"We'll isn't that what they call girls who fantasize about fucking they're best friend. Isn't dyke the word used to describe a girl who loves another girl. What they call girls who want to fuck and not be fucked?" Destinee says louder after each sentence.
"Destinee that's not what I-"
Destinee cuts me off yet again
"Oh no Ariana there is no news to explain yourself I see why Jonathan left and believe me he had more than enough reasons to."
Destinee gets up and storms off out of my house giving Carmen the death stare and signals with her two manicured nails that this isn't over. Me and Carmen observe her out of my white curtains. Destinee slams the door and puts her cigarette out on my gray stone walkway and stomps on it with her high heel. She gets in her black infinity and slams the door shut. She speeds off down my street like a criminal escaping the police in a car chase. Carmen gets up and slaps her hands on her tan thighs. They jiggle a little.
"Well do you want to continue this little session or-"
"No it's fine you can leave." I say in a soft voice.
Carmen shakes her head as she jingles her keys in her hand pacing around as if she were trying to say something but didn't know how.
"Ari we need to talk." She pause for a minute thinking how she's going to choose her next words as if she were making a move in a game of chess." We need to talk about what happened between you and me." She finishes
I roll my eyes and sigh
"We really don't Carmen, I understand."
"No Ari, you may not have to but I need to get this off of my chest. All you have to do is listen."
"We'll I'm not in the mood to be talking bout all the issues I have with people right now Carmen. Okay?" I snap
"Maybe it's best if I just leave then." She says in a quieter tone.
"Maybe you should."
Carmen grabs her burgundy red backpack and leaves my house. I see her walk down the street in her dark jeans, faded burgundy shirt, and timberlands with her curly hair pulled back in a ponytail with the side of her head shaved in a star design. My eyes start to water.
"I'm loosing everybody now"
