*5 years later*
Taylor and I stand behind closed doors to the reception. We've waited so long for this and now we're finally married. He grabs my hand nervously. After all the years of doing shows he still gets nervous before crowds.
I look him up and down, admiring him in his suit. All I can think about is ripping it off of him later. He catches me checking him and smirks before pulling me into a kiss.
"And now I'd like to introduce, for the first time, Taylor and Jocelyn Caniff!" The doors open and suddenly there's a bunch of howling and cheering. You
We immediately pull apart, both blushing. I pull him forward and we walk past all of our friends and family. "Save some for the honeymoon, guys," Cameron says.
Taylor rolls his eyes and we continue walking towards the dance floor. He leans into me and whispers. "That was embarrassing."
"The bride and groom will now perform their first dance," the DJ announces.
"You're my Best Friend" by Queen starts playing. Taylor grins at me. He refused to tell me what he chose for our first song, which is why it was really hard to rehearse a routine.
He drags me to the middle of the room and we start dancing. We both sing along to the lyrics when we're not laughing. At the end of the song, he pecks me on the lips and our friends crowd in. The song changes and everyone is jumping up and down. We're all together again and it's an amazing feeling.
Everyone has been so busy over the past few years. Shawn has been making it big and he's in the middle of his own world tour. He flew here from London. Cameron got his big break and he's been filming a movie in California. This is why we kept the location a secret. We didn't want to be swarmed with photographers.
After a few songs, everyone settles down for dinner and the toasts begin. First on the spot is the best man, Dillon. He takes the microphone in his hand.
"Man," he starts. "These two. They've been together their whole lives and I got to grow up with them. Back in Indiana they used to claim to just be friends, but we all knew there was something more. It was obvious. You could tell by the way they looked at each other. I never knew two people could be so blind," he says causing everyone to laugh. "Anyways… I just hope someday I'll find love as true as theirs. Here's to you, buddy. You finally did it!"
Everyone cheers and he hands the spotlight over to my mom. "This is every mother's dream," she begins talking and I wonder how far she'll get before she breaks down and starts crying. "Not only did my daughter marry the sweetest, most caring boy, but she also married my best friend's son… who also happens to be her best friend."
She wipes away a tear before continuing. "I remember when they were just four years old. Shirley and I were in the kitchen doing dishes. We peaked out the window and saw Taylor and Jocelyn getting married. We were so excited, but not as excited as we were today. Children are supposed to learn from their parents, but today I learned that happily ever after does exist. I love you, honey. And Taylor, you've always been part of the family."
Everyone cheers at that and Taylor gets up to hug her. Several speeches later, everyone's back on the dance floor. Shawn performs a few songs for us. Suddenly I don't feel that good.
"You okay?" Taylor asks taking my hand.
"I feel sick. I gotta get to the bathroom," I say.
"Need me to come with you?"
I nod and we discreetly leave the room and enter the bathroom, making sure no one sees us. I rush into the stall and start throwing up. Taylor comes in and holds back my veil.
"Not having second thoughts are you?" He cracks a joke.
"No," I throw up again.
"Hey, what's wrong? Was it something you ate?" He questions. I get up and go to the sink to wash up. "Josie?"
I turn to face him. "Taylor," I say.
"Oh my god." I watch as all the gears in his head spin. "Oh my god, Josie!"
He picks me up and spins me around, kissing my cheeks over and over. "Josie, we're having a baby!"
I giggle. "I know, Taylor."
He pulls me into a hug again and just holds me. "We're going to be a family."
Someone opens the door. It's my maid of honor. "Didn't mean to interrupt something," she smirks.
"I told him," I say.
She suddenly squeals. "Congrats! Now come on. Everyone's looking for you guys."
We go back to the reception and spend the rest of the night dancing. People say that your wedding should be the best day of your life, and nothing could be more accurate.
