4. Savage Beast Unleashed

Chapter Four

Savage Beast Unleashed

I could not put into words just how much school sucked these days. Ronnie was bullying me so much to the point where I literally wanted to break his face into a million pieces. Of course I tried refraining from actually doing that, because if I lost control of myself and let that savage beast that roared inside me, out, then for sure I was going to become the salvaje that some knew me as.

It was lunch time and at the moment One Direction was playing a show right outside. I could hear them all the way inside, playing their ‘What makes you beautiful’ song. It was actually one of my favorite songs of theirs, and yes to me it did seem ironic that I was so angry at them, especially at Zayn, and yet I still listened to their music. Heck, I had all three of their albums and occasionally listened to them on my iPod.

After sitting in the cafeteria for who knows how long, I decided to head outside and get some air.

The band was finally done playing, and were thanking the crowds of student fans that were cheering them on.

“We thank all of you for being here. We’re honored to have played for you!” said Liam through his mic.

I sat under a tree and lied down on the grass. I was pretty beat from getting up super early in the morning, and barely getting any sleep the night before. It sucked badly, and right now I just wanted to go home and chill in my own bed. My mom texted me and asked how I was doing. I texted her back and told her I was ok, and that I would come straight home after school was over and she in turn told me to be careful when riding my skateboard.

It was almost time to go back to class, and the warning bell rung, telling us we had only a few minutes left before class would begin.

I decided to head back to class, and as I walked toward the main building, I noticed the band walking toward the main building. Zayn turned and looked at me for a brief moment. I was afraid that he was going to discover that I was in fact Mehmet, the boy who used to be friends with him and his friends, minus Louis of course since he’s always had it in for me since the first day we met.

I turned my attention away from him, and as I walked into my classroom, I noticed Ronnie chatting with his friends who were all bullies like him. He looked at me and immediately I knew he was going to start tossing his insults. “Well, if it isn’t the loser skater boy!” he insulted.

I turned around and left the class. I was so not in the mood to listen to his stupidities.

He walked out of the class and of course took advantage of the fact that there was no one around us.

“Listen to me you little punk!” he said angrily. “Don’t ever ignore me when I’m talking to you!”

I laughed sarcastically. “And what are you going to do, spank me?”

He walked up to me and pressed me hard against the wall. “Don’t test me little boy! You do know that I can break you in half right?”

I let out a slight sarcastic laugh. “Only if I let you!”

His jaw was tense from gritting his teeth hard.

Back in the sixth grade when Ronnie decided that I was going to be his victim of bullying, he pissed me off badly enough that he dried my patience to a dangerous level. I gave him a lot of chances to stop, and warned him several times. But he didn’t listen and continued poking me with his pencil while we stood in the lunch line that I turned around and pushed him down. He then tried to hit me but I overpowered him, and kneed him in the stomach multiple times until he threw up.

Yeah, probably not one of my finest moments, but at the time I was so pissed off that I acted impulsively.

“You better get your hands off of me if you don’t want me to do to you what I did back in the sixth grade!” I growled. “Or have you forgotten what I did?”

He definitely remembered. I had doubts that anyone would forget such a thing.

“This isn’t over!” he looked down at me like I was trash. “Loser!”

“Maybe not. But you know what I’m willing to do to defend myself!” I warned.

“Then you’ll get expelled if you do anything to me!”

I grinned. “Does it look like I care if I get expelled from school or not?”

He stayed silent for a long time. He didn’t say a word, and kept that same hate filled look on me.

He moved quickly, and the next thing I knew he had a pocket knife to my neck. Ok, he went from using pencils as weapons, to using pocket knives. Wow, I couldn’t believe how low this guy was willing to fall. Only I wasn’t afraid of him. I knew how to defend myself and I knew where to hit in order to weaken. “Oh I’m so scared that you’re holding a pocket knife to my neck moron!”

“What, you don’t think I’m capable of slitting your throat?” he pressed the knife harder into my skin.

“Oh I know you’re capable of doing that. But I’m not afraid of you!”

He kept the knife on my neck, and then put it back on his pocket. Anger started flaring inside me, and without giving it a second thought, I balled my fist and aimed it at his eye. He fell down and looked at me angrily. I was not about to just sit back and let him think he could threaten me with a knife and not expect me to react to it.

“Oh you’re gonna pay for that!” he held his eye in pain.

I laughed.

He got up and tried to punch me. But I didn’t let him, and instead I landed more punches on his face, making him bleed.

He charged at me and the both of us started wrestling. Oh hell no I was not about to back down, and I was going to use all the anger and frustration I had toward him and Zayn, to prove my point.

The two of us continued fighting, and somehow we landed into the hallway. He punched me in the face and started to taste the fowl taste of blood. He tried to overwhelm me, but I kneed him hard on the stomach hard. I punched him several times in the face, and in the process I noticed people watching us, from my peripherals. I ignored those figures as they were not my concern, and could care less about who they were. I didn’t even care if they were school officials, or the principal himself.

Finally I backed off of him, and Ronnie looked at me with evil and menacing eyes. “You’re a little savage!” he yelled, holding his side in pain.

Dime salvaje, that’s what everyone used to call me!” I yelled harshly at the top of my lungs. “There, now you can see what I’m really capable of doing!” I continued yelling.

“You’re gonna pay for this. I promise you’re going to pay!” he spat blood.

Turning, I saw Zayn, Liam, Niall, Harry, and Louis, all looking at me surprised. I was shocked myself that they saw me giving Ronnie what he deserved.
