"Business as usual." Nightwing murmured to himself. Then he left. He headed for Gotham, the only place where he could clear his head, but he ended up at Wally's home, where Becca (the Canary) now lived. He sighed, and decided it wasn't the best time to visit her. She was probably sleeping anyway, or eating. Whatever could make her feel better.
No, Nightwing reminded himself, nothing can make her feel better. He looked sadly at the house one last time, then left for Gotham.
Batman was in the Batcave, not a surprise. But Nightwing was too exhausted to complain.
"Jason's in town," Batman announced, as Nightwing headed for the stairs. He froze. Jason. Red Hood.
"Do you think--" he asked,
"That Jason could possible snap Becca out of her depression? Possibly." Batman finished for him, still staring at his screen.
"Uh, don't you have a wedding in TWO DAYS?" Nightwing asked.
"Yes." Batman acted like it was no big deal.
"So don't you have to prepare? Like mentally?" Batman turned his chair around and stared at Nightwing.
"Prepare for what?" He asked. Nightwing shrugged.
"Drama. I hear Jokers are very dramatic." He stated. Batman turned his chair around, back the the computer screen.
"It's not like I've lived with teenagers before." He said.
Nightwing rolled his eyes and claimed up the stairs.
Something still lingered in his mind. Jason was coming to town. Nightwing had to find him. But, not now.
Nightwing was too tired to go find Becca's brother. So, he just walked upstairs and went to bed.
