The 67th Hunger Games-COMPLETE-

Cyanna Harlech, a fellow Career from District 4, has been chosen to participate in The Hunger Games. Leaving her Mother and sister, Pearl she is uncertain she will win. Winning means game and fortune. Losing means certain death...

13. 13

I wake up, startled from hearing a rustling in the bushes. I get out of the sleeping bag, roll it up and stuff it in my pack. I hang off the branch and quickly let go, ready to run off. Instead, I stand there and realise it's Carter. I quietly jump into another bush, and see he has teamed up with, Varnia, Laud, both from District 2 and Garth from 3. I wipe my forehead, getting rid of the sweat on my brow.

"Where is she?" Asks Laud.

"She went round here!" I hear Carter messing with the tree I was in. I realise the 'she' their referring to is me.

"When we find her how should we kill her?" Asks the girl from 2, Florana I hear someone call her. Ugh- the people from 2 give their kids stupid names- anyway, I see Florana pull out a machete from her pocket.

"We'll use my sword," I hear Garth.

No thanks, I think. I quickly sneak off whilst their blabbering on about how they should kill me. I need to find a water source now. My lips are cracked and my throat is dry. If there is no water, everyone would die of how thirsty we are. I find a small puddle and dip my finger in. It's murky and dirty. Better not drink that then. I get up and look around. I hear a loud rustling coming from the bush. I walk over to it and see a rabbit, drinking from a lake. A lake! I found it! I sneak up on the rabbit and kill it quickly, so I can cook it. I wash my face and carefully grab my water bottle and fill it up. I drink it in five seconds flat. I fill it up again and take a small sip.

"Finally..." I whisper. I find a new tree and sit up in it. I take a deep breath and thank the Gamemakers that they put a lake there. I shut my eyes and think of how happy my family will be on how, now, that I won't die of thirst. I open them quickly as I hear footsteps coming close. I gulp and stand up, making myself hard to see. I hold into the sides of the tree, carefully not making the person see my arms.

"Cyanna, I know you're there!" A voice hisses. I look around carefully the side of the tree carefully. Just who I want to see is right there.
