7. Its over now
After she returned from getting her things she threw herself into Kwangmin’s arms and stayed there for a very long time. Just silently sobbing from all the mental exhaustion she had felt going back to that place, and from the relief she felt. She thought everything was going to be okay now that she had Kwangmin.
A few days had past. Minjung was home alone; Kwangmin had to go to work.
She heard a knock on the door, running to opening it as she thought it was Kwangmin returning home. But instead she found herself staring into the cold eyes of Woojin. She let out a shocked shriek. He smirked. “So this is where you hide, bitch. I just came to give you a farewell present for the fine letter you gave me”. He walked into the hall, grabbed her throat and smashed her against the wall, he turned her head and ripped her shirt open, biting down hard on her skin, making it tear and bleed until she screamed, begging him to let her go. She felt his hands tightening before smacking her head against the wall “Remember how worthless you are. Nobody will ever want you; this guy only stays with you out of pity”. He laughed and let go of her throat, walking out and closing the door after him, letting her sink onto the floor, completely powerless. She felt the familiar feeling of anxiety hit her and without thinking she went to the kitchen, found a knife and cut again. Desperate for getting the feeling away. Anything but this horrible feeling that would eat her up inside and leave nothing but darkness and fear. She curled up into a ball on the floor, not caring if she got blood stains on her clothes. She didn’t know how long she had lain like this, until she felt hands grip her shoulders. She immediately panicked, thinking Woojin had come back for her. She pushed the hands away and started screaming “Leave me alone, leave me alone, leave me alone”. Crying more and more with each word. “Shh! Jungie-ah! It’s me! What on earth happened?” she realised it was Kwangmin that had gotten back home, she threw herself into his arms and sobbed loudly “He… He c-c-c-ame back. W-w-woojin.” He held her tightly and cursed loudly. “Aish. I shouldn’t have let you alone. Can you forgive me Jungie-ah?”
Forgive him? But he hadn’t done anything wrong in her eyes. “But hyung. It is not your fault” she said. “Ah. It is Jungie-ah. I should have been there to protect you!” he cursed again and held her tighter “Don’t worry. It’s over now. I will stay here to protect you.”
