"Small Hawaiian please." I told the waitress. She wrote it down, then moved on to Liam.
"Um... Medium meat lovers, thanks." He confirmed and handed her his menu.
We all just sat there uncomfortably, waiting for our pizzas.
Shit. I think I've messed up. Ruby wants to take things slow. That's not a good sign.
I looked over at her and she smiled and held my hand under the table. I squeezed it and smiled back.
Ten minutes later, no one had said a word. The waitress came back with our pizzas.
Ruby smiled at me. "Let's see if they're as good as you said." She took a bite and I watched her chewing slowly.
"Well?" I nudged her and she laughed.
"Good! It's actually really good!" She giggled.
Teresa and Zayn were staring at us. Zayn winked at me and I rolled my eyes.
After eating, we went back to Liam's, where, coincidentally Harry, Louis and Niall were watching a movie on the couch.
"Hey guys." I smiled at them.
Liam looked surprised. "What are you guys doing here?!" He blurted out.
"Relax Li." Harry chuckled. "We're just here to chill, and see the ladies." He winked at me and Teresa.
"Oi." Zayn looked at Harry. "No one's laying a finger on Teresa except me." He put his arms around her.
"Looks like it's just you and me love." Harry grinned.
"Nu uh mate." Liam walked over to me.
"Dammit!" Harry punched his leg and went back to watching the movie.
"Nah, I think my sisters got a thing for you though." Niall kicked him.
Liam sat on the couch and beckoned me to join him, so I plopped down next to him. The movie was Grease, and there was a big bowl of popcorn next to Louis.
I sighed contently and started watching.
I looked to my right, where Ruby had fallen asleep, her head resting against my shoulder. I smiled and kissed her forehead.
"Guys?" I asked quickly.
"Mmm?" Niall mumbled.
"What does it mean if a girl wants to take things slow? Does it mean she doesn't like me?" I asked.
"Nah mate. She just doesn't want to rush things." Niall murmured and went back to watching.
I rolled my eyes and sighed. I looked at Ruby again; sleeping peacefully. When the movie ended, I carried her bridal-style to my room and laid her on my bed. I got in next to her and lay, looking at the ceiling.
Half an hour later, she woke up and blinked her eyes at me.
"Hey babe." I said and kissed her lightly.
She smiled and gave me a hug.
"It's late, go back to sleep." I told her.
She nodded and rolled over. Five minutes later, she was snoring softly. After an another hour of staring at the ceiling, I finally drifted off to sleep too.
