5. Chapter 5
(We see a small crush on Jerome from Amber. Is this the beginning of something big? Let's find out!)
I didn't want to leave the soup kitchen. It was warm and comforting. I was lost in watching flecks of dust fall from the ceiling. I was intrigued. Finally I was snapped out of my observation when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I jumped and found that Mitch was just trying to get my attention. I walked with him to the car, Noah was shocked. He asked where I was being dropped off. Mitch explained the situation. I was tired and really scared. Did they really want me to live with them? Should I tell them that I know who they are? Will they ask me the questions I am so scared to answer? I was really scared. I was seated next to Jerome. I moved close to him. I was a mess. It had been 11 years since I had last cleaned myself up. He didn't seem to care though. I cuddled in. He was warm and strong. I can hear his heat beating and his breathing. I whispered not to worry, I was just scared. He accepted it and just held me in his arms. I was soon asleep in his arms.
