“Rebecca?” Harry asked, knocking on my door.
“Yeah? You can come in.” I told him.
Moments later the door opened, revealing Harry standing there in a black Ramones T-shirt and black skinny jeans.
“Hey, so I need to go to a really quick band meeting. I shouldn’t be gone long.” He told me.
I nodded. “Alright. Have fun then. I’ll try not to burn your house down.” I joked.
He chuckled. “Better not, I’d have to rush home and pull you from the fire.”
I rolled my eyes. “I’d get myself out.”
He smiled. “Good. Well, on the way back I’ll probably pick up some food or something. Any preferences?”
I shrugged. “Whatever you want.”
“Pizza it is then.” He smiled.
“Awesome. I’ll be looking forward to it.” I told him.
“Alright. I’ll see you later with pizza.” He told me.
“Bye Harry.” I smiled.
“Bye.” He replied before walking out the door.
Moments later I heard the front door open and close downstairs and silence filled the house. I picked up the current book I was reading, Looking For Alaska, and began to read.
I pulled into the all too familiar parking lot of Syco records and found my usual parking spot. I noticed Louis and Zayn’s cars already sitting in the parking lot and I pulled my keys out of the ignition and hopped out. As I made my way to the entrance I saw Liam’s car pull in and I waved. I waited for him to park his car and get out.
“Hey, long time no see huh?” Liam called, getting out.
I nodded. “Three months at least. How’ve you been?”
“Pretty good. I’ve gotta say, its been nice spending so much time with my family and Sophia.” He admitted, jogging over to me.
“That’s great. Yeah, I’ve been spending a lot of time with my mum and Robin. I’d be spending time with Gem but she’s decided she wants to stay at school.” I told him.
He chuckled. “Yeah, my sisters are the same way.”
The two of us walked into the building and got into the elevator.
“So what do you think this whole meeting is about?” I asked.
Liam shrugged. “Could be anything. Probably wants to discuss tour.”
I nodded. “Yeah but we’ve still got another month of break.”
“This is Simon we’re talking about.” He pointed out.
The elevator dinged and we stepped out. We walked up to the front desk.
“Alice, how are you today?” I smiled at the secretary.
“Fine. And you boys?” She asked.
“We’re doing well. So, Simon called a meeting, are we allowed to go back yet?” Liam asked.
She nodded. “Louis and Zayn are already here. Mr. Cowell is waiting in his office.”
“Thank you Alice.” I winked as we walked past.
“Seriously Haz. If its living and breathing and is a female, you flirt with her.” Liam chucked.
I shrugged. “I’m young. I do what I want.”
We stopped at the door to Simon’s office and Liam pushed the door open. Simon, who had been talking to Zayn and Louis looked up and stopped speaking.
“Liam, Harry, its good to see you, have a seat.” He told us.
Liam and I ushered a quick hello to Zayn and Louis and Simon continued.
“So as I was telling Zayn and Louis, tour is coming up in april, and I know you boys are still on break but I’ve scheduled for rehearsals to start the day after Valentines day. So February fifteenth. That way, you will be able to spend Valentines day with your girlfriends or lady friends one last time before consuming yourself in rehearsals.” Simon told us.
For some reason, when Simon mentioned girlfriends, Rebecca popped into my head. However, my thoughts quickly faded when the door opened and Niall walked in.
“Sorry, traffic was bad.” Niall said, taking a seat beside me.
“Well you’re here now. We’re discussing your upcoming tour. Rehearsals start on February fifteenth.” Simon filled him in.
He nodded and let Simon continue. “Also, I know this is a ways away but in September, you have all been invited to a charity ball hosted by the prime minister and his wife. You five are expected to attend and represent Syco Records.”
“If its months away, why are you telling us now?” Louis asked.
“Because that way you’ll be able to clear your schedules in advance. I will not have a repeat of that one time you didn’t show up because you quote ‘Didn’t know about it’.” Simon told him.
“It was mine and El’s anniversary!” Louis protested.
“Well I’m telling you in advance so you can work around anything.” Simon told us.
He continued to talk about the plans for tour and soon enough the meeting came to an end. The five of us said our goodbyes to Simon and exited his office. As we were walking out, Louis turned to me.
“Where’ve you been mate? I’ve called your flat like a million times and texted you and you’ve never responded.” He said.
I shrugged. “I’ve been a little busy I guess.”
“With a lady friend?” Niall joked.
I frowned but didn’t respond. When I didn’t say anything they stopped and looked at me.
“It is a girl.” Zayn said.
“I never said anything about a girl.” I chuckled. “That’s crazy.”
“What’s her name?” Louis teased.
“What’s who’s name?” I asked.
“Just shut up and tell us mate. You can hide from your mum and Gem but you can’t hide from us. Who’s this girl?” Liam asked.
I frowned slightly. “If there was a girl, I’d tell you.”
They looked at me warily and I put my hands up in defense. “I’m innocent until proven guilty.”
They rolled their eyes and we made our way to the elevator.
“Hey, how about we go grab some food or something. I’m absolutely starved.” Zayn said.
“I can’t.” I told them.
They all looked at me.
“Don’t say it.” I chuckled. “I’m just a bit tired. I think I’ll go home and sleep.”
“Rough night last night?” Zayn teased.
I frowned. “This isn’t going to stop isn’t it?”
“Nope.” Niall grinned as we stepped outside. “Have fun with your sleep.”
I glared at them jokingly. “Oh I will. I’ll have so much fun with my sleep you’ll all be jealous.”
I made it to my car and pulled my keys out of my pocket to unlock it.
“Oy! Harry!” Niall called from across the parking lot.
I suck my head out of the row of cars and looked at him.
“Make sure you actually respond next time we call or text you yeah?” He called.
I nodded. “I’ll be sure of it!”
I hopped into my car and pulled out of my parking place. I gave a slight wave to Louis as I passed him getting into his car and pulled out of the parking lot. I switched the radio on and an old Kim Wilde song was playing. As soon as I reached the pizza place I hopped out of my car and walked into a thankfully deserted room. I walked up to the front.
“What can I get you?” The cashier asked.
“Uh, I’ll get a medium cheese pizza.” I told him.
“Anything else?” He asked in a monotone voice.
I shook my head. “That’s all.”
He nodded and plugged my order into the computer.
“That’ll be 12.68.” He told me.
I swiped my credit card and he handed me my receipt. I took a seat and pulled out my phone as I waited for my pizza. I found that it bugged me that I couldn’t call or text Rebecca to check on her. I mean, sure, I could call my flat but there’s no guarantee she’d pick up.
I sat there for the next ten minutes before the pizza was ready. When I got the pizza, I walked out and got into my car. I put the pizza in the passenger seat and started my car. I pulled out of the parking lot and started my way to my flat.
