"Okay guys Calum and I are going in. Wait here and I'll come back to get you." I said as I opened the back door and Calum went in.
"Are you sure you two will be ok?" Ashton asked worried.
"Trust me we'll be fine. But if we're not back in ten or fifteen minutes get away from all windows and doors and make sure you won't be able to be seen." I said.
"Why?" Was all Michael asked.
"Come on Kara it's now or never." Calum said frustrated from the kitchen.
"Because we might get caught and if we do my parents might try and come find you guys. Just hide if we're gone long. We'll try and be back soon." I said quickly before closing the door and quickly running to catch up to Calum.
"What took you so long?" He complained.
"Well I'm sorry Calum that your friends wanted and explanation as to why I told them to hide if we weren't back in fifteen minutes." I said crossing my arms.
"Why wouldn't we be back in fifteen minutes?" He asked confused.
"Just think about I'm not explaining it again." I said annoyed. Then he thought about it and he realized what I meant. "Get it?"
"Yeah I get it now. But do you really think we'd get caught?" He asked.
"Calum there's always a possibility of getting caught. Its just that most people don't think about it." I said looking around a corner into my living room.
"What are you the few people who think about getting caught?" He asked.
"Yeah I guess. Now wait here I'm gonna go upstairs and see if there's any lights on." I said quickly running upstairs. I stuck my head above the stairs and saw no light on and I didn't hear any sound so I knew the television wasn't on so I knew they were asleep.
"Ok Calum go get the guys the coast is clear. You go with Ashton and look in the spare bedroom down the hall from the living room. I'm gonna go upstairs cause I think it's somewhere upstairs but I have to look. And don't forget to tell Michael and Luke to go to my parents door and make sure they really are asleep and they are asleep the whole time we're here." I said.
"How are we going to contact you if there is a problem?" Calum asked.
"I don't know I'll probably figure it out. You guys have your phones. I just want to make sure all of you guys make it out before me." I said.
"Here take my phone Ashton and I will share a phone." He said tossing his phone to me.
"Ok go get the guys I'll go upstairs." I said catching his phone. Then he disappeared into the darkness and I continued up the stairs. The only other place I could think my parents would hide my phone that would be in a safe place is in their closet. I stood at the door and took a deep breath and then opened the door as I exhaled.
I quietly tiptoed into the room and saw they were asleep. I snuck into the closet and went to the back of the closet and moved my mom's dresses she only wears at Christmas out of the way. And I saw the safe. It's lucky I got the number to the safe. I put in the combination and the door opened. And there with other valuables was my phone. I grabbed it and walked out of the closet.
Once out of the closet I came face to face with my parents. Apparently they weren't asleep. They blocked my path to the door but I had another idea. I ran towards the window and pushed it open and before they could reach the window I was already on the roof. I hid against the wall so they couldn't see me. I quickly dialled Luke on Calum's phone.
"Kara is there something wrong?" He asked.
"Get out of the house now. My parents weren't asleep. I have my phone just get everyone out of the house now!" I said before hanging up. I jumped off the roof and landed at the back door. As I landed I saw Calum and Ashton come running out of the house. With Michael following them shortly after but I didn't see Luke.
"Michael where's Luke?" I said frantically.
"They got him. I tried I really did but he told me to leave him and get myself out." He said sadly. As soon as he finished the sentence I ran back into the house. I ran up the stairs and I saw Luke trying to struggle out of my dad's grip.
"Let him go!" I yelled and everyone stopped moving and looked at me. "I'm here just let him go." I said giving up.
"Kara no I'll be fine. Get out of here!" Luke said.
"Luke it's fine." I said putting my head down. I saw my dad let go of Luke and Luke started to walk towards me. He wrapped his arms around me and I put my lips at his ears.
"What?" He said confused.
"Run." I said letting him go and grabbing his arms and pulling him down the stairs causing him to trip on every step. I pulled him through the kitchen and out the back door and kept running. Soon the rest of the guys got the idea and followed my lead. The only problem was I didn't really know where I was going all I knew was I was trying to get as much distance between us and my parents. Finally I found a corn field and took a sharp turn in there. I pulled Luke down to the ground with me and the others did the same beside us. We lied on our stomachs and watched as my parents ran right past us.
"Uh Kara can you let go of my wrist now?" Luke asked.
"Right. Sorry." I said letting go of his wrist and even in the dark I good see a handprint on his wrist.
"Well that's gonna be a bruise in the morning." He said rubbing it.
"About that. It'll probably be safer if we stay here tonight." I said awkwardly.
"Sleeping in a corn field." Michael said.
"It's not that bad at least it's not cold outside." Ashton said trying to lighten the mood.
"Ashton's right. We should try and make the best of this. At least I got my phone, it may be dead but at least we got it back. Anyways I think I'm gonna try and get comfortable because I'm pretty tired." I said yawning.
"I think we all are." Calum saidepily before falling asleep.sle and I looked around and everyone was yawning.
"Night guys." I said before falling asleep.
