The movie had just finished and I heard a door open. Michael and I both turned around and saw Ashton and Calum walk through the front door. Calum started to take his shoes off and Ashton just stood in the doorway.
"Hey Michael I'm going home do you want a ride?" Ashton asked leaning in the doorway.
"Ya sure. I'll talk to you later Kara. Bye Cal." Michael said quickly putting on his shoes and him and Ashton both left.
Once they both left Calum went into his room. Well I guess he's still mad about this morning. I groaned realizing I have to go talk to him. I lazily got off the couch and walked over to Calum's room. I knocked on the door and waited for Calum to let me in.
"Come in." He said and I slowly opened his bedroom door.
"Hey." I said simply.
"Hey." He said not really paying attention.
"I know you called Ashton this morning just so you didn't have to hang out with me. And before you deny it Michael told me and Ashton told him." I said sadly.
"Ya." He said and now I knew he wasn't listening.
"Calum!" I said loudly.
"What?" He said snapping out of his thoughts.
"Listen to me. I know how you feel but when are you going to understand I don't feel the same way?" I said angrily.
"Because I don't understand why you would date someone who you barely know then someone you knew since you were kids." He said angrily.
"That's the reason Calum! Have you ever thought what would happen if I dated you? Have you ever thought I did this for you! I'd rather have you as a best friend for the rest of my life than date you and we break up and never speak to you again!" I yelled.
"Have you ever thought I would never do anything to hurt you!" He yelled at me.
"You say that now. You left me in high school what's stopping you from doing it again? Maybe I like Luke so much because he was actually nice to me when everyone else wasn't." I said loudly but not really yelling.
"I'm sorry Kara. But you can't blame me for that." He said.
"Whatever Calum. I'm officially done." I said giving up and going back into the living room. I sat down on the couch not really knowing what to do.
"Kara?" I heard Calum ask quietly.
"What?" I said rudely.
"Listen I'm sorry." He said.
"Calum I just want you to be my friend again." I whispered. I hope he didn't hear it but he did.
"I want to be your friend too, but I don't know if it'll be the same." He said.
"Can we just try?" I asked hopeful.
"I guess so." He said.
"Thanks." I said getting off the couch and hugging him.
