I woke up the next morning and Luke was still asleep on the ground. I didn't feel like waking him up so I just sat in bed. I looked over at the clock and saw it was lunch time so I guess the nurses would be around soon. I wonder what were having today maybe some more of that gray goop or maybe some vegetables mushed together that look super unappetizing. Right then Calum walked in and he was carrying a bag of McDonald's.
"You brought food?" I asked.
"Ya I brought you some food." He said placing the bag beside me.
"Do the doctors know?" I asked.
"Ya I told them I brought you a burger and fries and they were ok with it." He said carefully stepping over Luke and coming to sit in the chair beside me.
"You actually told them that?" I asked.
"No I told them I brought you a salad so don't tell them I gave you this." He said handing me a burger and some fries.
"I love you forever." I said taking a bite out of the burger.
"Uh Kara doesn't that hurt?" He asked.
"Calum I've been in a hospital for two days wait let me resay that. I've been awake in a hospital for two days and you don't know what I've been forced to eat. I don't care if this hurts I'm eating." I said taking another huge bite of the burger.
"Someone's hungry." He laughed.
"You have no idea." I said.
"Calum you made it." I heard a quiet Luke say.
"Ya I made it and do you think I could have like a minute alone with Kara?" Calum asked.
"Sure give me a sec." Luke said yawning and then slowly getting up and walking out of the room.
"So Kara I wanted to say I'm sorry for walking out yesterday." He said.
"Cal it's not your fault I realized afterwards I was kinda making it sound like it was your fault and then saying I wish I was never pushed in front of that car didn't really help." I said.
"Yes but I never should have walked out. You were upset and I let myself come first I should have stayed." He said.
"I don't blame you if I was in your position I would have left." I said.
"Well I just hope you're feeling better today." He said.
"Ya I am I'm better now that you brought me some real food. Also what happened last night?" I asked.
"Oh it's nothing really." He said.
"Calum I know it was something if it was nothing Luke wouldn't have needed Michael and Ashton's help. Also where are those two?" I asked.
"They're still sleeping. I didn't want to wake them but they're coming by later. I heard your parents are coming today." He said.
"Ya Luke told me last night honestly I'm not excited for them to come." I said.
"Why not you haven't seen them in forever." He said.
"Because I made that choice. I don't want to see them I'm still mad at them and now I'm even more mad at them because they weren't here when I woke up. And they probably wont come anyways they care more about there job then there own kid." I said.
"That's not true they seemed to care a lot about you when you broke your wrist at school." He said.
"That's because they weren't working that day. I'm telling you if they were working that day they would have missed it." I said.
"Your parents never seemed that way when we were kids." He said.
"Well they were why do you think we always had sleepovers at Michael or your house. My parents were never home at my house." I said.
"Oh I never really noticed that." He said.
"No one ever noticed like I said I'm good at hiding things in my life." I said then a doctor came in.
"Kara visiting hours are stopped right now for lunch and where did you get that food?" The doctor asked.
"I uh...um..." I stuttered slipping the food under the blanket.
"I'm sorry I brought it for her." Calum said.
"I'm sorry Kara but I'm going to have to confiscate that food and I'm sorry sir but you have to leave you van come back in at 1." The doctor said.
"Ok Kara I'll see you in a little bit." Calum said getting up and walking out of the room.
"Ok Kara now give the food." The doctor said.
"Can I at least finish the fries." I said shoving some fries in my mouth.
"I'm sorry but I'm taking the food." The doctor said taking my food and walking out.
Great so now I was alone, bored and without food. This is going to be the worst couple of weeks of my life.
