Marlie had been one for ages now.
I unlatched the cabin door, and stepped out into the bleak world we lived in.
My t-shirt billowed in the wind, I looked around for the little redhead. However there was no sign of her. I wandered into the woods, I'd only ever been in there for twigs, the rumour was that this wood was haunted.
I step further into the woods, there wasn't anything to be afraid of, was there?
My teeth chattered with the cold, it was January, come on, we should be warming up soon, right?
I notice a brown glove on the floor, buried beneath sticks. It's surprisingly warm, just worn perhaps.
As I venture even further into these haunted woods, I see a woman, flat grey hair sticking to her head. She was twig thin, and ice cold. Did I mention it was cold?
The woman opens her brown eyes, her neck is bloody and her eye is black.
She looks up at me, I ask curiously,
"Sorry ma'am, have you seen a young girl, 15-16, red hair go past?"
