It's been 3 days since the incident and I haven't been in school. Mum came home the other day and didn't notice anything wrong with me, not that I thought she would. She nodded hello to me when entering and then went into the kitchen, searching for something. I went into my room and lay on my back ontop of my bed and just listened to a David Bowie record that Zoe's dad gave to me, which I felt guilty playing considering he didn't like me by the looks of things. The door buzzed. Somebody was downstairs, I suspected it was the pizza I ordered but no. It was Zoe. She must of came by straight after school but how? Her parents normally picked her up? I still went down and answered the door as I didn't want her in the flat whilst my mum was roaming around, plus I really didn't want her knowing I had a girlfriend as she is extremely protective of me (hard to believe, I know).
"Hi," I started off by saying. Zoe looked at me.
"Hey," she answered. "Your face looks a lot better,"
"Thanks," I replied. "I'd invite you inside but I'm a bit busy,"
"It's find I was just checking to see if you were alright," Zoe told me. I nodded. "So when you coming back to school?" She asked.
"When my face looks decent enough so people won't make fun of it, like last time"
"You can stay off for that long?!" Zoe seemed surprised. I nodded.
"How come your here, doesn't your dad pick you up?"
"He's accepted the fact that I can't stay away from you, but mum doesn't know that I'm here. Dads cars there," Zoe pointed to a silver Mercedes. "I have news on Cliff, he's expelled. Schools really mad at him and his parents for doing this especially after the Olivia incident in which her parents are pretty mad at her according to my mum who's like best friends with her mum, Olivia admitted to every thing.. I still don't know why?" I hardly listened to any of that, I'm a really bad listener. But I nodded along to be polite. Zoe then took my hand and led me inside the building.
"But your dad?" I asked. "And you can't come inside?"
"I know, I'm not going to your flat! I just kinda want to kiss you and I don't want dad to see," she said, edging closer to me and kissing me, holding my head. I kissed her back. I loved having a Zoe. She made me happy. I waved bye at her as she ran to her dad's car and I nodded thank you to her dad who nodded back to say your welcome.
