9. I'd rather walk with you
Zoe seemed to be taking it hard. "I can't believe she's getting away with this," she kept crying. People were still staring at us. "I hate her!"
"Zo what you doing with that loser?" A guy asked her. Zoe turned to look at him.
"Go away!" She yelled at him.
"Did you really sprain liv's ankle?" Somebody else asked. Everybody was either talking to us or talking about us. I felt over crowded, something I once dreamed about being but now really disliking.
School ended and I could see Zoe trying to catch up with me from the corner of my eye. I stopped.
"Hi..." She mumbled. "How are you?"
"I'm fine I guess," I said, fiddling with my hair. "How are you?"
"Not good," she whined. "I don't want to go home to see my parents, they are going to be so disappointed..." I wanted to hug her a little as she seemed generally upset.
"Why are you walking with me again?" I asked her, because I thought after what everybody had been saying about me she wouldn't want to hang around with me anymore. It would ruin her popularity.
"Because I'd rather walk with you then any of those idiots. To be honest I don't really like anybody at school... They aren't fun or interesting and they just care about who has the most mates and stuff but you... You're different and I like hanging out with you?" She explained. I barely listened to a word she was saying, I just stared at her. She was beautiful. How anybody so beautiful would want to stay with me I have no idea. It's unreal. "Can we go back to your place? I really can't be doing with going home right now..." She begged. I shrugged. Zoe smiled. We ran down to my apartment. She wanted to race but I'm so slow it would be embarrassing.
