I got home eventually.
"Is that you, sweetie?" I heard dad call from the kitchen as I entered the house. "Tea's ready," he winked and hugged me tight. Mum eyed me as I walked into the dinning room.
"Where were you?" She asked me. I shrugged, god I need to stop picking up Nathan's habits. "You were with that boy again weren't you?!"
"What boy?" Dad asked, placing food on the table.
"The boy that got Zoe into trouble with Olivia! It's that boy isn't it?" Mum sniggered.
"Look, he's really nice and I'm sure if you get to know him-"
"That's not the point, zo.. If he got you into trouble once then there's no doubt he'll do it again!"
"How many times did I tell you that he did nothing! It was a situation between me and Olivia" I bellowed. "Mum he's a good kid! And I like him a lot, he makes me happy! Don't you want your daughter to be happy?" I asked.
"Last time you said you barely knew him?"
"I know him now! And he is so sweet, mum. He treats me with respect and is really caring! You would really love him if you gave him a chance!" I begged, piercing a piece of potato with my fork and stuffing in into my mouth.
"As long as he makes my Zoe happy then I'm fine," dad told us. Mum looked at him sharply.
"I don't know, sweetie! Look at how he dresses and how he walks! You really need to be careful?"
"For the millionth time mum! I know!" I rolled my eyes.
"When are we meeting him then?" Mum asked, exchanging glares with me. I stopped eating for second. God knows if Nathan would ever agree to meeting my parents.
"I'll see..." I replied, thinking.
