Louis stared at me as I quietly picked myself up from the floor.
Confusion was in my mind as I quietly shuffled around the couch. Everyone was asleep and that's when I heard the faint sound of sniffles.
I jumped up from the couch and quietly rushed towards Carter's door, worry and guilt entering me.
The door was locked when I tried to open the door.
"Carter?!?" I knocked quietly, panic laced in my voice.
As if hearing me, the sound of her crying suddenly stopped.
"I-I'm fine." She quietly whispered through the door.
Realisation hit me that the door was all that separated us.
"No you're not, your crying." I whispered softly.
Suddenly the door opened and I felt something soft hit my face.
I barely saw Carter wiping away a tear, before the door shut again.
I looked down at what was thrown at me and frowned.
When I woke up the next morning, Eleanor was setting the table, and Carter was cooking.
I walked towards Carter to see if anything had gotten strange between us.
"Hey." I mumbled quietly to her.
She jumped up as if I scared her, and I pulled her into me right before she could get burned.
"Careful!" I scowled, looking down at the girl I loved.
God that sounded cheesy as hell.
She pulled away from me, and muttered a quiet Hello.
"A-About last night-"
"Don't." Was all she said.
"I just.... Don't want to talk about it, okay?" She looked uncomfortable as she set the pancakes on the dinning table and walked to wards the fridge, opening it and began looking for a water bottle.
"I just wanted to apologise-"
Carter slammed the fridge door closed.
"HARRY, JUST FUCKING STOP!" She turned to me, fury burning in her vibrant blue eyes.
My mouth dropped as I stared at her in shock.
She just shoved past me and walked into the living room.
I stood there for a few moments until Niall called me into the dinning room.
After eating breakfast, we we're all sat in the living room.
"There's a party at Ed's house tonight." Zayn stated.
"We should all go." Danielle grinned.
"Yeah!" El jumped excitedly.
"I guess," Carter sighed.
The whole time, I was staring at her.
When our eyes met, she'd either glare at me, or turn away.
In all honesty, that hurt more than anything I've ever felt.
I was at home, and I had just finished getting ready.
A dark blue blazer over a green t-shirt, and jeans. I also had a couple of bracelets.
I rolled my selves up to my elbows and looked at my hair.
After pulling my hair into a more neat quiff, I sat down on my bed.
And that's when Gemma came in.
She was dressed in red skinny jeans and a blue sweater.
"Where are you going, Gem?" I smiled at her lightly.
"With you, Silly!" She smirked.
"No way in hell Gems." I laughed.
"Please? Mum's out with with Robin, so I'd be home alone. What if someone broke in and did something. Maybe-"
"Gem! Don't say stuff like that." I scowled at her.
"Fine." I sighed.
"Fine?" She jumped up excitedly.
"Only if you don't drink anything." I smiled.
She groaned, but mumbled a fine.
I grinned as we made our way downstairs.
After locking the door, Gem and I got in the car and drove off.
"So... Is Carter going to be there?" Gem smirked lightly.
I choked a little, and blushed.
"Yeah." I mumbled.
"Do I get to meet her?" Gemma grinned excitedly.
"I don't know, we might not even see her there." I sighed, half hoping that we would, half hoping we wouldn't.
I don't know which one I wanted.
If we did, I'd get to see her perfection shine, but have to bare with her glaring at me, or walking away, hurting me more than anything.
Fuck my life.
When we got there, Gem got out excitedly, and grabbed her clutch as she made her way inside.
I instantly spotted the guys and the girls- including Carter.
God- she was perfect.
Her legging were tight against her skin, a blue mid thigh dress clinging her curves, and an Army jacket covering her arms and shoulders.
As expected, she was wearing blue high top converse.
Her hair was straightened, and a piece from the front was pinned back.
Why couldn't she love me the way I loved her?
Gem ran towards the group after seeing Louis.
I walked after her, watching Carter look at Gemma in confusion.
"Hey guys!" She grinned at the guys, Danielle, and Perrie.
Eleanor obviously just started dating Louis, so she wouldn't know Gem.
"Oh. Sorry. I'm Gemma, Harry's older sister." She grinned at El, Shan, and Carter.
"I'm Eleanor. Louis's girlfriend." El grinned at Gem.
"I'm Shannon, nice to meet you." Shannon waved slightly.
"My girlfriend." Niall piped in.
"You wish." Shannon scoffed.
Gemma finally turned to Carter.
"Hello! I'm Carter." She smiled, completely leaving me hypnotised.
"Haz's girlfriend?" My heart rate quickened at the thought, tiny little elephants stomping in my stomach.
Carter was silent for a moment, a hot pink colour tinting her cheeks.
"Uh... No." She looked away with a cough.
"That's a shame. He talks so much about you! Did you know, under his pillow ther-"
"Gem! You should really go meet Ed, such a wonderful lad." I faked a smile at my older sister.
Carter stared at me for a moment, her blue eyes meeting mine leaving my heart to start racing.
I didn't even notice Gemma ignore me, and start talking with everyone else.
Carter finally looked away, pushed herself away from the group, saying she's going to get a drink.
I grabbed her wrist lightly, wanting to talk to her about what happened earlier today.
She yanked herself away from me, staring at me with wide eyes.
She bumped into someone, making them spill their drink.
And you have no fucking idea who it was.
Dave fucking Martinis.
Yeah, remember that idiot?
Well, he's back... Again.
"Watch where your going... Oh," he suddenly smirked, his eyes a ranking down Carter's body.
I almost lost it then. Anger bubbled in me as I glared at him, standing closer to Carter then a friend would be.
When he saw me, his eyes widened as he backed away.
Yeah, that's right. Any closer to her, and I'll attack your face with my fists.
"I am so sorry," Carter apologised, her blue orbs filled with sympathy.
I gave him the most menacing look I could muster, my body surging off anger.
"I-It's fine." He stuttered out, quickly walking away.
My eyes followed him until he was out of sight.
"Well.... Okay?" Carter looked confused.
When she turned around and saw how close I was to her, she turned back around, and headed to the kitchen.
I was about to follow her, when a hand gripped my upper arm softly.
I turned around to see Ed.
"Oh. Hey Ed." I smiled at him.
"What have you been up to, mate?" He grinned, walking me back towards the lads and girls.
I began talking, my mouth here, and my mind somewhere else.

"- So I figured, if I became friends with his sister, he'd fall in love with me!" A pathetic blonde went on, and on about my brother.
Too bad he was in love with Carter.
Speaking of Carter, I saw her drinking a drink in the backyard.
So I excused myself from the group of strangers, and made my way to the girl my brother was hopelessly in love with.
"Hey." I grinned, sitting down next to her on the steps.
It was really stuffy inside, so the cool breeze that was blowing out here felt nice.
"Hi." She smiled at me.
God-- I didn't blame my brother for falling in love with her. She looks like she came out of a magazine.
I had seen the whole incident with Carter bumping into the guy, the guy checking her out, my brother so close to beating the guy to death.
"So... You and Harry? Yeah?" I wiggled my eyebrows.
She stared at me for a moment, her eyes holding amazement.
"You already asked me that." She laughed, taking a sip from the red solo cup.
"So will you tell me the real answer?" I rose an eyebrow, staring at her features.
She shut her eyes tightly, a quiet sigh leaving her lips.
"To be honest?" Her eyes met mine, "I don't know."
'Do you like him?" I gushed, starting to get really excited.
"I... I'm confused." She admitted.
"Have you two kissed?" I smirked.
Her eyes widened as a blush took place in her cheeks.
"Um... Once at school... We were both caught under mistletoe." She looked away.
I rolled my eyes. Haz would probably purposely be caught under mistletoe with her.
I was about to say something when someone interrupted.
"Uh... Carter, right?" It was a guy.
"Yes...? Wait, you're the guy I bumped into sorry, again." Carter smiled sheepishly.
Well. Harry's not gonna be too happy.
"Eleanor said she needed you upstairs." The guy smirked lightly.
I didn't like this. Something felt... Off.
"What room?" Carter stood up, worry placed on her features as she stood up.
"Here, I'll take you." The guy walked towards the back door, leading back into the house.
"Oh, Gemma. I'll see you later, okay?" She smiled.
I gave her a toothy smile and nodded my head as she followed the guy back into the house.
I also went into the house, looking for the lads and the girls.
I saw Danielle's curly hair and began walking towards the group.
Then I froze.
There sat on Louis's lap, was Eleanor. Sitting there was the girl who was laughing and smiling, and who was definitely not, upstairs.
"Harry!" I was panicking. I finally saw him walking towards the stairs, and felt so scared.
•°•°•°•°• Harry's POV •°•°•°•°•
God this music was loud. I heard Ed had a balcony in one of the bedrooms, so I made my way upstairs.
I was about to open the first door, when I heard a familiar scream from the room all the way down the hall.
A scream that made me go pale.
