"I can’t believe you have a date with five boys and I haven’t even left yet!” I squealed.
“It’s not a date,” Jess groaned for the umpteenth time. We had been talking on the phone for an hour.
“It is too,” I sang.
“When do you leave?” she asked changing the subject.
“The cab should be here any minute. So, tell me. Are any of them cute?!” I asked hoping it would get her back on the subject.
“Fine,” she sighed. I waited for her to continue, but when she didn’t I questioned.
“And…? What about him? What’s his name?”
“His name is Niall and he has blonde hair and these gorgeous blue eyes…” she trailed off and I knew she was in her own little world sitting on the bed in her room.
“Helloo? Jess?” I said trying to snap her out her daze.
“Hunh? Oh yeah and he’s Irish, but the other boys are British…”
“Jess,” I tried to say but she continued on.
“But their accents are so cute! Still though, it makes you wonder how they met...”
“Jess,” I tried again, but it still didn’t work.
“Maybe they all met on set of the movie, but I doubt it, they’re all so close…”
“Jess!” I said, this time a little louder than before.
“What?” she asked.
“You're rambling,” I said as if it were obvious.
“Oh sorry,” she mumbled.
Just then the cab pulled up. “It’s okay but as much as I have to ask, I’ll just have to wait until I get there.”
“Oh. Okay, well bye!” she said happily.
“I’ll talk to you tomorrow,” I said as I hung up the phone.
I sighed as I glanced around my room for the last time. I would be living in Hollywood with Jess from now on, to pursue our acting careers. The cab driver beeped the horn. I grabbed my bags and closed the door behind me. “Where to?” the driver asked as I got in. “The airport please,” I said as we pulled away from my house for the last time.
