I can't believe I convinced myself to go get coffee with Harry, what's worse is that I brought it up. Why the hell would I bring that up?!
Oh well we're already on our way to the nearest coffee shop. Starbucks, the best in Cali.
"You'll enjoy my company don't worry," He assures as he opens the door for me to enter the coffee shop.
"*Sigh* Doubt it," I say with a short sigh.
I hear him laugh and he walks in front of me to go line up.
I go to a table, I don't feel like coffee today, I'll just wait for Harry. I should have suggested going to a Burger King instead or McDonald's.
"You don't want anything Jess-I mean Jessie," He asks correcting himself before I do.
I nod no and look down at my hands fidgeting with my fingers with my hoodie's torn sleeve.
"Jessie," I hear someone whisper my name. I look up and look around. Everyone was either on their laptops or talking to one another. Who said my name? Was I the only one who heard it?
"I'm back," I look up and see Harry taking a seat next to me. He hands me a cup of coffee.
"I didn't ask for a coffee," I say pushing the coffee away from me.
"I know but I wanted to be nice and get you some," He says smiling.
"Thanks but I'm not going to drink it," I push the coffee to Harry placing it next to his.
He sighs and grabs both cups of coffee and swivels the cups around.
We sit in silence for a few brief seconds then he speaks up.
"So... how's life?" He asks not knowing what to ask or say, well neither do I.
"Fine," I simply reply.
I tap my finger tips on the table feeling very awkward sitting here in the coffee shop next to Harry, neither one of us saying a word while he sips on both coffee cups.
"Ouch," He says. I look at him and he's sticking his tong out both his index fingers gently patting his tong.
"What, did you burn yourself?" I ask laughing lightly.
He nods and starts to laugh himself.
I stop laughing and just sigh pretty bored.
"Are you really this boring?" I ask.
He slightly frowns.
"Well you don't want to talk about anything, or really you just don't want to talk to me period. I can't force you to talk you'd probably hate me more," He chuckles taking a sip of his coffee.
"You think I hate you?"
"Well you sure don't like me. You know what maybe you're right," He says.
"I am? About what?" I ask confused.
"I should just leave you alone, you clearly don't like my company and don't want to be here. It's fine if you want to leave."
I look down at the table. I think I heart his feelings...well I don't hate him.
"I'm sorry Harry, I just rather be in my apartment watching a movie by myself on my couch, then falling asleep," I honestly would.
"Well um how about we watch a movie at my flat, or yours. Which ever you'd like."
I thought for a while, maybe it won't be as bad as I think it will be.
I'm about to say something when I hear that voice from earlier say my name again.
"Don't go Jessie, he's bad news." The male voice says.
I look around and still I can't make out who is calling me.
"Jessie, I suggest you leave," The voice speaks.
"Didn't you hear me Jessie," The voice continues.
"Jessie, are you ok?" I hear Harry ask.
"Jessie LEAVE!" The voice says once more, it yelled in my ear.
"SHUT UP!" I yell covering my ears.
"Jessie just leave," HE whispers and I feel someone touch my shoulder.
I quickly stand up and look around.
"Who keeps calling ME!" I ask frustrated.
"Jessie calm down, no one's talking to you but me," Harry says grabbing my hand.
I snatch my hand away.
"Don'y you hear him?!" I ask and look around everyone's eyes on me.
"Jessie you better stop your yelling," The voice says, I feel my spine tingle.
"Jessie just calm-"
"Shut up! SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!" I yell starting to cry.
"Ma'am you're disturbing my costumers, I'm going to have to ask you to leave," A worker from the coffee shops tells me.
I look around and all I see are people starring at me, some scared and some disturbed. I loom at Harry who looks worried.
"LEAVE!" The voice demands.
I yell covering my ears and running out into the dark street. . I cry more and more as I run across the busy road.
I hear people honking and a few cars nearly hit me but only tap my side.
I don't know where I am anymore.
I look around the streets and it's empty.
I decide to go back the way I came, if I even remember.
My head pounding with pain from crying and screaming, and my legs hurt from sprinting.
As I'm walking I feel as if I'm being watched.
I shake off the feeling as I walk starting to kind of figure out my way.
I hear heavy footsteps behind me. I look to the side and from the corner of my eye I see a dark figure.
I swish around quickly my breathing increasing by the second.
I make a puzzled face, t-there's no one...
I turn back around and bump into someone.
"Excuse you," I say a bit rudely.
I looked at the person's face then looked down. Wait they didn't have a face. I look up again and see the person smile warmly.
"I'm sorry I wasn't watching where I was going," He says his voice sounding awfully too familiar.
When he passes by I become cold, there's a sudden stinging to my hands. I look down at them and my fingertips are turning blue and my veins purple. I look back and he's already out of sight...I look down at my hands and they're back to their normal color.
His face...He didn't have a face for a few seconds and then he did. It must just be the dark toying with my mind.
