Niall and I made graves. We buried Louis and Zayn. Liam did survive, but we didn't find Harry. There was no time to look any further because we knew that witnesses could come and I was tired after carrying out a simple funeral.
"We can't go together." said Liam quickly. "Let's split up and wait and see if anything else happens."
Niall grabbed my hand.
"I'm not leaving ..."
Zayn laughed and smiled at us.
"No, you'll continue along but let it go a few years before looking up me. I'll see what happened to Harry."
Niall and I took us to the nearest town and we checked into a hotel. We showered, drank blood, and then we went to bed. I was happy that I was with Niall, but I was so shaken up by everything that had happened.
"It will get better." Niall whispered and smiled at me. "Louis is gone and that means that no one can divide us."
"Feels nevertheless wrong because Zayn died."
"I know, but you will see many die in your long life."
I understood what he meant.
The truth about how it would be, showed up that day when we went back to my home town. I realized that we had been away from the place a long time and I no longer recognize any.
"It's been ten years." said Niall, but I couldn't believe it happened so fast. Ten years seemed like an eternity, but it wasn't. We went to my old childhood home and I saw immediately that my mom didn't live there anymore. I saw instead a family and I watched their children play in the yard. It felt heavy because I didn't know where she was.
"She's actually on the psyche." said one of the neighbours, who I didn't know. "She went crazy ten years ago and began raving about vampires and demons. She said that a vampire had taken her daughter and that we were in danger."
I laughed a little bit, even though I knew that my mom had told him the truth.
"It sounds weird."
He nodded and smiled at me.
"It happened a lot in the village at the time. A teacher hypnotized the whole school and the headmaster talked about the earth would perish. But it has settled down now and everything is as it should be."
We went to my old school and we looked at all the streets that I once had walked on.
"You know that you shouldn't use yours powers?" Niall said to me. "If you work against the change, it always comes back and gets chaos."
I saw at him that he meant well.
"As with my mom?"
"You can't save those who fall under hypnosis, not all the times and I'm afraid that you also can't see her again."
I just wanted to cry.
He stopped and looked at me gravely.
"It only exacerbates her condition and I don't think you want that to happen?"
Being a vampire means forever brooding over things that happened. I tried not to think so much about everything that had happened during my first time as a vampire, but I had nightmares about it. Louis was gone, but he left behind still a fear. Next time it could be Niall and I who wanted to take over. Next time maybe we picked the wrong person to be immortal. Still, I managed to live, although many consider me as dead. Harry had survived, but he refused to tell me what happened. Eleanor and Perrie disappeared from us and Sophia chose to stay in touch. In the end it was me, Niall, Harry and Liam, who lived in a country house. We lived a quiet life, and we tried not to influence those who could die. We struggled to replenish blood into the store and we struggled to not be mad that we couldn't change anything.
It was fifty years before we went back to the green hill. Zayns grave was still there and I saw the cross that I once had put over his place. It wasn't until we discovered that Louis tomb was empty, we went scared. Left was a hole, but no one was in it.
I lost my imagination. I hope you still like the big picture in this story and we'll see if there will be a sequel. I chose to have it open in case I want to write about vampires again...
Love u all and thanks for reading.
