•Sophie's Point Of View•
Okay so right now, I was burrying a burnt cookie in my backyard. Why? Well.. It all started like this...
I was baking a delicious oatmeal cookie and just as I put the batter enough for one cookie in the oven, my phone started ringing.
"I'm. Too sexy for my shirt. Too sexy for m-" I cut the ringtone off by answering the call of an unknown number which happened to be Maria!
After the call, I went to change and played Tetris Battle on Facebook. I checked the time and it read 3:43PM... Oh my, its already been more then 30 minutes.. AND THE BAKING TIME WAS 15 MINUTES!
I ran to the oven and took the 'cookie' out and it was black already! It was such a good looking cookie so I buried it in the backyard.
»End Of Flashback«
And that was the end of my sob story! I looked at the modern clock on the table beside the TV and it read 4:08PM. Oh no, I've gotta get ready since I was meeting Marie in this coffee shop next door.
I changed into some 'jeggings' and wore a floral tank top with the phrase 'this girl got swag'. I put on my forest green leather jacket since it was extremely cold in the coffee shop. Trust me, I've tried. Then lastly, I put on some brown flats on.
I walked to the coffee shop right after I got out of the building. But not before saying hello to the guard named 'Joe'.
I looked around, searching for Marie and this friend she wanted to meet. I finally spotted Marie's dark hair and came closer.
I sat down on the chair in front and we quickly smiled and greeted each other. "So where's your friend?" I asked as the question popped into my mind.
"Oh he's in the restroom." She said.
"The loo?" I questioned just to make sure.
"Yup. Oh wait- there he is!" She shrieked in her thick accent.
I looked behind me to find the person I've been hiding from yet searching for all along.
My eyes widened as his lips spread into a wide grin. I dropped my free muffin and quickly ran for the door. I could hear him following me.
I wanted to stop but I could just hear that creepy voice reminding me to stay away in my mind. I ran for the apartment door and quickly unlocked it. Before I could close it, he blocked the way.
"Please!" He yelled.
"What?" I said frustratingly.
"Just let me take you out on one date and if you still hate me we'll just be friends!" He pleaded. I was confused.
"Okay, stop! One, I just met you..." I started calmly. "Two.. I DON'T REMEMBER YOU ASKING IN THE FIRST PLACE!" I burst out.
"But that's how they work in fanfics!" He cried out clearly confused too. "Okay, okay fine! Sophie, please let me take you out. I promise to not harm you, kidnap you, or rape you, or anything else. Just please let me take you out!"
"I don't believe in love at first sight but..." He held my hand and I just felt grossed out a bit cause I'm not technically the romantic type. Especially since he's still wearing a hoodie and shades so I don't know what he looks like.
"But... I do believe in faith.." He looked up at me and I could feel the butterflies in my stomach because that was by far the best thing I've heard from a man my age.
"Fine. But those shades and that hoodie better come off when I see you. Here's my number." I said irritated. But inside, I was actually worried. Worried of what they might think..
We exchanged numbers and I shut the door and slid to the floor.
"Watch your back, pretty child.." I heard the creepy voice in my head.
