"I'm Duzenbaz" said the first fox.
"And I'm Muzenbaz" said the other.
"You don't want to go through this cornfield I can tell you that." screamed Duzenbaz.
"Why not?" questioned Ryo.
"Well if you want to be eaten alive while you scream in bloody pain you could try to step a food in it. But just to prove my point I rather show you" Muzenbaz laughed.
He took out a stone and threw it in the cornfield. As soon as it touched the ground, we saw things move in the field and heard loud screeches.
"Now do you want to try to go through it fatty?" Duzenbaz poked at Ryos belly. "You could be quite a feast for those things in there!"
"No, thanks and stop calling me fatty, I'm not fat. You two are skinny foxes. You two need to eat a lot of meat to grow some meat on your skinny bones." Ryo said.
"What can I do now if I cannot walk through this farm? You guys seem to know the area." Ryo asked.
"Yeah there are two options, either you try your luck and run as fast as you can through this field although I doubt you would be that fast with that thing hanging around your belly. Oh my bad, I did not know it was your belly. Hahahah. Or you could follow us around." They both laughed at Ryo.
"Hey quit it." Ryo said.
Duzenbaz and Muzenbaz started to walk around Ryo smelling him: "Hmm what kind of a thing are you. You are fat, white and black and your paws are huge!" Muzenbaz said.
"I think he must have a lot of meat, let's just eat you shouldn't we?" Duzenbaz laughed. "Let´s go fatty."
"Would you cut it out?" Ryo sat on Daisuke and moved behind the irritating foxes.
"We are your friends. If we would have wished you something bad, we could have let you walk into your own perish." Duzenbaz smiled at Ryo.
They stopped at a hilly place with many trees, one of them started shaking a tree, and its fruits fell down.
"Here try one of these I bet you hasn't tasted anything like this. It's called Chokreto." Muzenbaz gave a couple of them to Ryo.
"These are nuts but kind of soft though." Ryo threw a couple of them in his mouth. "Wow these are good." he said.
They started laughing at him as he had smeared it all over his mouth and face and walked further away from the old farmland.
"How far should we go?" Asked Ryo.
"Well it's a day and nights travel from here. After a nights rest we would find the path leading around the farms early morning" Duzenbaz answered.
It was getting dark, and the sunrays finally disappeared behind the big trees and they camped for the night.
Ryo wasn't trusting these strangers he just had met and was sleeping with an eye open until he just couldn't stay awake anymore and felt asleep snoring like he had fallen asleep after eating too much noodles and Tartary which was his favorite dish made out of rise, chicken, eggs, bamboo and soya sauce.
The next morning he opened his eyes, was feeling rested and fresh, and as he stood up and noticed that his backpack was gone.
"I knew it. I knew they were thieves those scoundrels. They stole my backpack. I knew I should not have had trusted strangers. "He was angry.
He went towards Daisuke to jump on him as he noticed his backpack was hanging on the other side of him.
Out jumped Duzenbaz and Muzenbaz: "So you thought we were thieves and had robbed you. Well if you really think we are thieves then we shall apart from here."
Ryo was ashamed and his head was hanging. "No hey, I'm sorry. It is just that I have never been this far away from home and my father always said not to trust strangers. I'm really sorry."
"That's what we wanted to hear. It is ok. You thought we were thieves so what. It is not that we are. "Muzenbaz said letting his hand hang around Ryos neck.
