I know I'm bad

Everyone knew Ginger was messed up. That is why the police station decided to come up with a plan that will hopefully help Ginger. They sent her to church, and they scheduled a time for her to go to the police station once every week for her to understand what's right and wrong. When she ends up falling for the young, good-looking officer that is forbidden…What will she do? And will she soon realize her mistakes? Or stick to her own ways?

19. I Know I'm bad #19

"See?" I got up and walked out of the car. I snuck behind the bush and sure enough a small kid was hiding there. "Ah, it's just a kid."

"Probably, but, I could still beat you up," he said.

"A sassy kid," I said. "How old are you, like 6?"

      "I'm 7."

"Ok." I walked away and George gave me a look. "What?" I asked.

"You're just going to leave him there?"

I sighed. I grabbed the kid by the ear and lead him to the police car.

He squirmed and tried to get out of my grip.

We sat in the police car. I leaned over with my elbow on my knee. "Do you know where the other Officers are?" I asked.

     "No!" He exclaimed.

"What's your name, kid?" Asked Zach.

"I'm not going to answer you!" He screamed.

"Ok, if you're not going to give us your name. Then I will give you a name myself." He had blonde hair and the lightest blue eyes I have ever seen. "I'm going to call you Ryan." I smiled. "'Cause you look like a Ryan."

"My name is Zander!" Ryan said.

"Well, to bad. I'm calling you Ryan now." He glared over at me. "Do you know anything, kid? Anything about other officers? Or big scary guys with guns?"

"I'm not going to give anything away."

I smiled as I thought of an idea. "I like you, kid. You were just like me when I was little. So..." I took out 20 dollars from my pocket. "If you give us some information, where we can find the officers, I will give you this money."

He looked at the money and sighed. "Make it 50."

I sighed and rolled my eyes. I'm going to be broke. I took out 50 dollars and showed him.

He pointed. "If you keep going you will see a small house. That's where me and my brother live. Don't tell him I gave you any information or I'm dead."

I nodded. "Ok. Wait, before I hand you this money. I want you to promise me something."

        He nodded.

"I want you to promise me that you will stay out of trouble. Hang out with nice people. Trust me. You don't want to end up like me. Look at me now. I have to hang around with officers because, I have been put to jail so many times they were tired of me being there." I smiled at him a little.

He turned away from me. I continued, "My mom was an alcoholic. I had a bad home life. She would also, beat me. I started stealing. That's how Zach found me." I nodded at Zach.

"Are you different now?" Asked Ryan...er, Zander.

"I like to think I am."

      "Ok, I promise." I smiled.

Zach leaned in to hand him money at the same time as me. He waved it off. "Keep it."

He hopped out of the car. "Wait, Zander. We should take you back home," said George.

Zander shook his head. "No sir. I usually hang around the woods during the day time. I walk home when I get ready."
