The Asshole is my Kryptonite

"Stop playing hard to get, Princess. I know you want me." He growled, pushing me against the wall. "In your deepest dreams, asshole." I responded holding his piercing gaze, whilst struggling to keep my breathing at a steady pace due to his close proximity. "Alright, if that's how you want to play the game. But remember, games are my forte." He breathed heavily near my neck, sending involuntary shivers down my spine. He smirked, before he was gone; leaving me to try calm my rosy cheeks as my heart danced to the ticking of the classroom clock.

"Asshole." I muttered, before slipping out of the unoccupied classroom.

13. Not the Nutella!

~~Chapter 13

That morning I had woken up on the soft comfort of the bed with a blanket covering my small body. I pulled the blanket closer and a warm cinnamon scent filled me. It was only then that I realized that this wasn't my bed, wasn't my room and wasn't my house. I quickly tore the cover off of me and tried to adjust to the strong light that shone through the room, after that I adjusted to the freezing cold and finally picked myself up out of bed.

I must have fallen asleep yesterday when Miles and I were studying.

I recall us agreeing on creating a mailbox since we lived next door to each other. I think we were part way through designing it yesterday  before I fell asleep.

Before I went down stairs I took a quick look in the mirror and after I fixed the atrocity that I called hair. Downstairs was a shirtless Miles cooking what seemed to be breakfast on the stove.

"Hello chef, let's get something clear." I walked towards him and with each step I intensified my glare. Well I tried to.

"If you ever touch me without my permission, I will cut your hand off and shove it up your ass understood?" By now I had was in front of him, looking up due to the height difference.

"Don't worry your little ass princess, you have that whole peaceful look when you sleep. I wouldn't try anything," I nodded, happy at his response.

"That's unless you want to." he smirked and I could feel a scowl creeping up on my face.

"I swear I -... Is that nutella?!" Something some people will just never understand is my love for nutella. Dad is actually worried about it, thinks I'm obsessed or something. Little does he know obsessed is the word lazy people use for dedicated.

I am dedicated to nutella.

"Possibly, I'm making pancakes with nutella." Before he could continue talking I charged to the tub and grabbed the spoon beside it. I jumped up onto the bench and opened the tub, taking a big spoonful and eagerly eating it. I knew I had nutella all over my mouth but I honestly couldn't care less. This was heaven in a little tub.

Miles watched me with an amused glint held in his eyes before he strode towards me and as if it was perfectly okay he licked his thumb and rubbed off what I'm sure was nutella on the side of my mouth.

"Saving some for a little later aye?" Although he was talking all I could think about was the fact that he just wiped his saliva on the side of my mouth.

"You are so disgusting! you just licked your thumb, I think I can still feel your saliva on my face!" He chuckled lightly before licking his whole hand and wiping it down my cheek. I sat frozen in shock. One thing you should know about me is that I have this thing with hygiene and Miles and the rest of the group know that since every recess and lunch I need to carry a napkin with me.

Miles watched me carefully but that twinkle of mirth was still visible in his cyan coloured orbs.

"You have three seconds to apologize." I warned,

"Three," C'mon Miles apologize for your own sake,

"Two," Of course you don't want to lose any dignity,

"One" Don't say I didn't warn you.

Before he knew it, I had grabbed an egg from next to me which I think was used for the pancakes and with all power threw it at his chest. It landed with a splat, the yolk beginning to drip down his chest, climbing over each muscle like it was a small mountain. His eyes followed as it slid down and finally hit the floor.

The small contact with the floor echoed throughout the kitchen as Miles looked back up at me, shock written all over his face as though he was not expecting anything like that.

C'mon I even gave him a countdown.

He slowly walked towards the stove and turned around with a bag of flour in his hands.

Oh no.

"Miles... let's talk about this. We can chat this out like civilised mature adults." I tried to reason but he wasn't taking any of it.

"You lost that opportunity when you egged me princess." He grabbed a handful of flour and fired it at me, causing flour to go in my hair, on clothes, skin and all over the kitchen bench.

I jumped off the kitchen bench, grabbed the bottle of orange juice from beside me, walked over towards him, went on my tippy toes and poured it over his head. He turned around with the juice and egg creating a small mixture on his chest and within his hair. I couldn't help but laugh at the sight in front of me.

"That wasn't funny." Miles spoke up after registering what had just occurred.

"If you saw it from my perspective, it was hilarious." he slowly cracked a grin and walked towards the fridge. I knew what he had in mind and I made a sprint, getting to the fridge before him and grabbing as many things as I could hold. He did the same and we both ran to opposite sides of the kitchen bench, with me on the outside and Miles on the inside of the kitchen.

I managed to grab a bottle of ketchup, mayonnaise, milk and a block of cheese. He on the other hand had a small block of butter, a bottle of mustard and can of coke. I narrowed my eyes at him and we watched the other persons every move. Miles was first to attack when he twisted open the mustard and spurted it in my direction. My hair stuck together and I had mustard all over my once beige jumper. I instantly squirted the bottle of ketchup in his direction and it covered him from head to toe. He retaliated by popping open the can of coke and throwing it at me, drenching my clothes and causing my light jumper to become vaguely transparent.

He paused for a moment, his eyes raking down my body causing my skin to heat up under the cool coke that was dripping off of me. I threw the block of cheese at his head which caused him to go slightly off balance.

"Eyes up here buddy." I clicked in front of my face and he instantly looked up, a flush creeping onto his neck making him look unusually endearing. He swiftly composed himself, scooping out the butter with his hand and a second later it had rapidly hit my stomach with a small 'splat' that echoed throughout the room. I was now the only one loaded with a weapon. I held up my bottle of mayonnaise ready to fire when he quickly grabbed the jar of nutella, scooping a spoonful out and holding the spoon upside down, watching the nutella slowly begin to drip off the spoon.

"NO!" a deranged scream left my mouth as slowly walked towards him.

"Take another step and I'll drop the spoon." He warned. I came to a halt and held the mayonnaise up, as if it would protect me from any harm.

"If you put the mayonnaise down  now, no one gets hurt."

"You wouldn't." I tested, but he began tilting the spoon again and I quickly dropped the mayonnaise and kicked it away with my feet.

He would.

"Okay, okay. You win." I gave in. A smug smirk filled his expressions as he was about to place the nutella filled spoon down on the counter.

"What is wrong with you?!" I shouted, he flinched nearly dropping the spoon in the process, causing me to gasp. I quickly walked over to him and licked the spoon clean. Does he understand how much nutella could have been wasted right then?

Once I finished, Miles and i decided we should clean the kitchen as much as possible, it wouldn't be fair on his parents if they came back and found it a mess.

After almost an hour of scrubbing, washing and towel whipping we had managed to get the kitchen as clean as possible. We ate Miles' pancakes while doing so and shockingly enough he could make a mean breakast.

"There. That should make it a bit easier for your parents." I spoke, proud that I had made the effort to clean something for once.

"Talking about your parents, where are they?" Miles looked hesitant for a second but quickly tried to cover it up. His eyes not playing along with the act.

"They're, uh, out." I knew there was more to it but I decided not to push it.

"Alright well this was fun, but I've got to head home now. I'll see you tomorrow and try to focus on not making a mess for a bit."

"Alright princess, I'll see you soon." With a wink I picked up my backpack and began to walk away but not before I turned around, grabbed the jar of nutella and walked outside.

"Asshole, thinks he can just waste nutella." I muttered to myself. I guess it was a bit louder than expected since as I was walking out I heard the deep chuckle of someone I was becoming quite fond off.
