I washed and washed yet the dirty feeling that enveloped me wouldn't seem to disappear. After my encounter with Adrian at the party, not only did I vow never to go to a party again but I also now flinch every time someone comes near me. I continuously thanked Gabe for being there for me and stopping it before Adrian could proceed any further. No one else in the group knew what had occurred except for Cass.
Not even Miles.
Although he sat by me that whole night until I fell asleep, I still hadn't told him what had happened and Gabe had swore that he wouldn't tell anyone. I was unbelievably glad when I realized that it was a Saturday, not only was I not going to have to face Adrian but it also meant a full day where I can sit in bed and just be away from everyone.
As I hopped out of the shower, a towel wrapped around myself, I shook my hair and allowed my loose curls to fall on my shoulders. I almost didn't realize that there was a small white paper plane on the floor with the words 'Open Princess.'
I didn't even have to open it to know who it was from.
it's Mr Drool Worthy, you know the one with the ocean blue eyes?'
He is never going to let me live that down is he?
'Anyway I just wanted to let you know that I tried calling and you didn't answer, so I resorted in paper planes. But Cass and the rest of the group are going to the Divinity fair tonight, so as a result I'm going too. Due to that I will be picking you up at 6:30pm and I don't want any if's or buts' because you need to leave the house you lonered nerd.'
Honestly I did want to go to the Divinity fair, it was like tradition for the girls and I to go, but I really didn't want to leave the house after yesterday. Then again there was this little voice in my head telling me I had to go. Not only to show that Adrian hadn't won but also so I could prove I wasn't a 'lonered nerd'.
I pulled out the little navy paper, the one that had been a source of communication between Miles and I. I wrote down the words,
The only reason that I'll agree to come is so that Cass isn't alone. Anyway, I'll be ready by 6:30pm thanks.
P.S. I'm not a lonered nerd your egotistical douche bag.'
I managed to make the best paper plane I could, which actually didn't turn out to be too bad, and flew it out of my window and into his luckily open one. Would've been a waste if I went to all that trouble and the window was closed.
I was still in a towel but of course before I could continue doing anything, I needed my music, everyone needs music. I plugged my phone into the large speakers and flicked through my music list and stopped when I reached the song I wanted.
'Major laser', the all too famous beginning of all of his songs began and soon the beat of his familiar song, 'aerosol can', followed. I was about to start dancing when once again a paper plane interrupted my life. I opened it and was faced with the recognizable handwriting that belonged to the immature eighteen year old next door.
'I was not fond of my new name. But alright, by the way Cass and the girls are coming with me.
See you soon.
P.S. Might want to close your window princess, but you don't have to, matter of fact I'm really enjoying the view, and the concert.'
I could feel my cheeks begin to heat up and as I turned to my right in perfect view was that narcissistic jerk smirking. I walked towards the window and flipped him the bird but all I earned from that was a chuckle. I rolled my eyes at him and shut the curtains, to finish getting ready.
I stopped the music to give the girls a ring and ask them to come over. Within a couple minutes Cass harmony and Trina all came barging through my door with dresses slung over their arms.
After what seemed to be a good fourty five minutes I was finally convinced to actually be put in a dress since jeans weren't 'fair material'. It was a summery high-low, turquoise dress, that had a thin brown belt in the centre, I put my hair up into a high ponytail and applied some light make up turning around to face the three gorgeous girls surrounding me.
They all gave me a thumbs up and perfect smiles.
"Gosh Tiff, Miles is going to swoon" Trina finally spoke up, and I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion,
"Why would Miles swoon?" I questioned, but this time it was Harmony that spoke up,
"I think we all know the answer to that"
"Care to inform me?"
Cass rolled her eyes and was about to begin to speak before there was a beep outside. Curse you Miles!
We all strode outside and for some reason the three girls sat in the back and as I looked at them they simply smiled innocently at me. I will never understand those people. I sat in the passenger's seat and said my hello's to Miles before we began driving. Within a couple minutes we had reached the fair which was flooding with people.
The lights illuminated from the rides in the night and the chatter echoed in the atmosphere. Before I could take another breath I was being pulled left and right towards different rides.
"Woah, hold up!" Everyone stopped and looked back at me.
"Do you actually think I'm going to enter that... that death trap?!" They all stared back at me as if I was on crack.
"Yes?" they all replied in unison. I rolled my eyes at them,
"Don't you think we should wait for Gabe and Sean?" I tried to stall,
"C'mon you wuss," Miles shouted before grabbing my hand which caused me to shudder for some obscure reason.
"It wasn't even that bad!" Miles rolled his eyes,
"Wasn't that bad?! I'm pretty sure getting thrown into some seat that is holding you with two bars and getting swung into the sky at 100 kilometres per second is 'that bad'" I retorted,
"While you guys argue us girls are going to go find the boys, we'll meet you guys at the hotdog stand," With that the three girls left, leaving me with Miles. We continued the argument as we walked towards our source of food. Then I was faced with the one person I wanted to see least. The person I never wanted to see again. As if instinct I hid behind Miles as Adrian walked towards us.
"Tiffany!" He shouted as I tried to walk away. Miles looked at me and I hid myself further behind him and as if he understood he held a stance in front of me.
"Look Tiff can you please look at me? I just want to talk about what happened at the party," Adrian tried to reason, but at the mention of the party I could feel Miles tense ahead of me.
"Look man, I don't know what the fuck you did to Tiffany but she obviously wants nothing to do with you so I suggest you leave." Miles spoke up, shocking me to say the least.
"What are you her hero or something? It's not like you two are dating or something, so I think you should just take a step back." Adrian replied but before I knew it, Miles took a step back and slung his arm over my shoulder,
"And how do you know we aren't?" Miles is just full of surprises today.
Adrian raised his eyebrows, studying us to know if we were lying or not,
"You know what? You can take the bitch, she isn't that hot anyway." He walked off, his words causing me to turn my head into Miles' shoulder.
"Hey princess, you're not a bitch, and any guy who's seen you would know he's lying." I gave him a small smile before he continues speaking,
I have him an eager nod as we walked towards the stand that filled the air with a mouth watering aroma.
Hello all!!! first of all I'd like to apologise for the very late update, but I've had exams lately. Anyway I know this wasn't a very eventful chapter but I can promise you there will be more to come! Also it isn't edited yet.
