21. Uta no Prince-sama (DSJ)
PLEASE REMEMBER ALL OPINIONS EXPRESSED IN THIS REVIEW ARE MY OWN!
I'll start off by saying that normally, I watch fantasy anime, gory anime, sad anime, violent anime... But I decided to start on some that are happier. And, in the case of Uta no Prince-sama, set IN THE REAL WORLD *LeGASP*
So, this thing took my feels and never let them go. It was beautiful. I loved all (okay, most) of the characters, and they were drawn really well *coughcoughsomeveryattractiveanimatedguyscoughcough* and uwaaaaah I want to hug them. This isn't sounding very professional yet. Oops.
Anyway, it's about music, friendship and a rollercoaster of feels. Another bonus point was that I could get emotionally attached to the characters and none of them were killed of brutally. That was a wonderful feeling. And the fact that I could get so attached to them within just 13 episodes, and get a really good idea of their personalities and everything, is always a sign of a good anime.
I'm not sure whether to put my shipping issues down as a negative or positive, since it was incredibly distressing when the main character was so shippable with so many people, but I managed to narrow it down to 2 by the end of the anime, and I think it's a good thing. XD
So, I guess it's probably aimed a lot more at girls than boys. Overall, an amazing anime if you like emotional stuff and amazing characters.
Genre: Realism (I guess?)
(I'm not as good as lolly sisters yet, but I'm getting there. Slowlyyyyyy... ^_^)
