A/N: Hola!!! I just wanted to say that I will be busy may 31 onwards hence I will try finishing up the movella sooner. I might come up with a sequel but for now I don’t want my movella to be rushed. Hence you might get a chapter or two every other day. Please bear with me. Thankyou :D
It might have been a few seconds, minutes or hours since Hermione left with Draco. But Harry was still seated in his hideout eyeing the slytherin pavilion with curiosity. He had overheard the entire conversation and even had the misfortune of spotting them by the black lake.
Harry’s head hurt. He knew that another visit to Madame Pomfrey was a must but he couldn’t heave himself out of the entrance. He decided to crawl out of the little hole that was burrowed in one of the corners of this underground chamber. Just when he was about to leave, he wtched George returning into Hogwarts. George spent a lot of time outside. And everytime he returned, his eyes were redder.
Sometimes he had company. A pretty girl. Harry noticed. But something about her beautiful face was wrong, Harry couldn’t place his finger on it but it made him feel uneasy. George walked towrd the castle without another look at the quidditch pitch and Harry presses reassuringly against his temples and started slipping into the tunnel below.
Harry spent about five minutes toiling in the dark underground tunnel but its other end was totally worth it. ,
Harry rose to the ‘most enticingly mild waterfall huddled comfortably in the lap of the Forbidden Forest. The water tinkled in a laughing sort of way, a silent white stream cascading over the rocky outcrops. A force of nature, both beautiful and distractive. It was as if the cascades of water conjured cascades of equally powerful emotions in his brain and it quite took his breath away. It was simply spectacular, the most magnificent sight he had ever beheld.’
The water flattened Harry’s blond hair towards his head. The throbbing cooled momentarily. Over the mild din of the waterfall Harry thought he heard the burstling of a robe over the dry leaves. He looked around. He was alone, surrounded by elder trees looking down at him. The water was clear and crystalline as if no one even set their eyes on it.
But Harry’s mind told him differently. He needed to leave. Now. He thought he could hear the little security device whirring in his little burrow. He took a deep breath as if taking in all the beauty and serenity at once. And then he retreated into the hole.
By the time Harry returned to castle, the rain had ceased and Harry ws completely dry. But as he made his way to the great hall, from where noise was issuing, he felt like eyes were boring into his paining skull. It was as if the castle had sprouted eyes.
When Harry entered the great hall at around four in the morning, he openly voice his mind with a very polite “what the ferret!?!”. Not that anyone heard.
It was as if nocturnal humans had turned up to celebrate the night. It might have been true. Except the reason was something more merrier and lighter. Luna and Neville stood by the podium. Beaming. The gryffindors and ravenclaws were issuing all sorts of noises. Mostly encouraging, congratulating them. Draco and Hermione also stood near them, showing no sign of the black lake incident, cheering and beaming at Luna and Neville.
Dennis Creevey was exiting the area when Harry roughened him towards himself (he owed is new born rudeness to that stary piece of Draco).
“what’s all this??” he demanded Dennis.
“there is gonna be a wedding at Hogwarts!!!” Dennis beamed at the slytherin.
“what?!?” Harry gasped. He cast another glance at Luna and Neville and returned to Dennis.
“surely, they’re not- they are too young!!!” Harry shrieked.
“the times of war have just passed. They were indeed troubling times. Any couple who has survived it definitely deserves to get together without further ado.” Dennis concluded as he ran outside in a hurry.
Harry walked up to the podium along with the surging crowd. It was only when he had reached the very front did the skylarkers realise that Draco Mafloy stood amid them. They backed away slightly. But ginny sped up to him and draped herself round him. By the time they broke the hug, the hogwartians had put a puzzle together and Draco was welcomed into the group. Though most did it only for formality’s sake. after all you don’t offend a Weasley, not after the war anyways.
The rest of the night slipped away quickly as people talked about how they would plan a wedding in three days. Harry received quite a few hostile looks but most Weasleys overlooked him. They did not seem to accept ginny’s choice of Draco over Harry. Meanwhile, Harry had eyes for none except Hermione and Draco. They seemed to put on the usual ‘best friends’ demeanour and walked around with Ron like nothing happened.
“a wedding in the great hall?” ginny beamed.
“I am not realy enthusiastic about that” Luna stated.
Knowing Luna, Harry knew she would never settle for a normal wedding. No. not Luna lovegood.
“well, I know a perfect place!” Harry suggested instinctively.
The others groaned and went ahead with the planning but Luna seemed intrigued.
“where?” she asked. The place fell silent. Most of the hogwartians had retreate back to their common rooms but the Weasleys and a few other Gryffindors and DA associates sat around the table sketching the details of the impending wedding.
Everyone looked at him expectantly, more like ‘oh yeah? So you think you know better?’ kind of way.
“by the waterfall in the forbidden forest!” Harry said enthusiastically.
“Waterfall??? In the Forbidden Forest?? Pffft!!!” said Ron mockingly.
Others echoed similar reactions. Hermione looked at Harry. In a spilt second, Harry felt happy. She did know that this was him!
“surely you don’t mean the Weir falls?” Luna asked him interested.
“What??? You mean to say that there ARE falls in the forbidden forest??? There is no mountain!!! How then can you??” ron seemed void of words. His face glowed red as he glared accusingly at Harry.
“there is a magically enchanted waterfall in the forbidden forest. But it hasn’t been spotted in... what? Two centuries??” she said to the bewildered crowd.
“According to Howarts: A History, the magical enchantment wore itself down after a while after. Professor Dippet is supposedly the last person to have seen it. He is dead now. This kinda means there is no one alive who has seen it.” Hermione added.
“well, then they are wrong about that. Aren’t they Hermi-Granger?” Harry added trying to make a sneering expression.
“so you are telling me that YOU have seen the Weir falls??” Hermione asked him, smiling.
“yeah. I happened to be by the quidditch fields tonight and took a chance trip there.” Said Harry with a twinkle in his eyes and a ‘special’ expression on his face, the kind he saved for when he showed Hermione down. She seemed to recognise it beyond the mask that was Draco’s face.
“show us then.” was all Ron said as they all filed out of the Great Hall. Harry Potter. Hermione Granger. Ginny Weasley. Ronald Weasley. Luna Lovegood. Neville Longbottom. And Draco Malfoy!
The rest of the group remained behind to plan out the food and other details with George at the helm.
