It was only about three in the afternoon when we finished our ‘brunch’ with everyone, so I went back to my room and laid down on my bed closing my eyes so that maybe I could take a nap. As I felt myself slipping away there was a knock on the door, I groaned and the door opened to reveal Harry. I quickly sat up and tried to straighten out my hair and my skirt, “oh hi Harry, I thought you were Ally.”
He smiled at me, “We’re going out. You can wear what you’re wearing now. But you might want to do you makeup… even though you look great without it the flash of cameras makes you question why you didn’t.” I walked over to my makeup desk and applied some black winged eye liner along with nude lipstick and a light coat of mascara.
Harry sat behind me watching me apply my makeup, “Have you never seen this before?” he shook his head, “did Elizabeth do this?” he nodded. “She always let me watch her do her makeup, but she was a lot slower about it then you are…why?” he was sitting on my bed with his head slightly at an angle so he could see me. “I’m a painter Harry, it doesn’t take long for me to draw straight lines, sometimes it isn’t easy but it comes pretty naturally to me, to others it doesn’t” I looked back at him quickly he was still sitting there looking slightly confused now. “I’ve never understood the point in this; I don’t know why girls think they need all these things to cover up their natural beauty. But Liz always does whenever we go somewhere fancy, she said that she does it to look presentable and that it makes her feel a little safer in front of the cameras. I’ve always wanted to try and do someone’s makeup but I never got the chance with Liz because she stopped wearing it around the house and then stopped all together when she got sicker…” he trailed off, “anyway let’s get going the rest of the boys and I have surprises planned for you guys. We have a time frame you know?” he tapped his watch before getting up and pacing around my room.
When I was finished I walked into my closet and grabbed a brown off-the-shoulder bag, it wasn’t too big nor too small and clipped in the front. Inside the bag I put a mini mirror, the lipstick I was wearing, brown sunglasses and my phone that they had given to me with headphones. The phone had all the girls’ contacts, the boys, Ally’s, Missy’s, a page number to the kitchen, and 911 for emergencies. You couldn’t dial anyone who wasn’t already in there which was frustrating; but it was also loaded with all kinds of music from country and love songs to heavy metal and orchestra music, which I loved. Harry looked at me, “Done? Okay good let’s go we don’t want to be late?” I still wasn’t sure what we would be late for but Harry opened the door and tried his best to rush me out as fast as he could so I didn’t have much time to protest.
We walked around the house until we got to the main entrance where a car was waiting for us. It was a very flashy black sports car. “Are we trying to keep a low profile or not, because I could hold up a large sign that says ‘I’m with Harry Styles right now’ if you don’t think the car is going to work well enough” I asked Harry, who just chuckled at me.
“Get in,” he opened the door and then closed it quickly as I got in before he ran around to the other side of the car and jumped in.
“We have doors for a reason Mr. Styles,” I said rolling my eyes.
“You sound just like Paul babe, but I’ll tell you what I tell him, I don’t really like using doors when I’m driving a convertible,” he laughed again putting his hand up onto the seat so it rested by my head, “ready?” I didn’t have time to answer before he sped off down their ‘never ending’ drive way which was surrounded by trees, other plants, flowers and a large field, before getting out onto the street where I noticed that their house was far away from their neighbors and that the houses were all very big. I wondered if there were others who lived like Harry and the boys over here too. After driving down a couple streets we got to a gate where Harry swiped a key card and the gate opened. He pulled forwards so that he was away from the gate as it closed he sat there waiting to make sure that it locked and shut all the way and then sped off again down the streets of London. As we drove by I saw a few flashes of lights and a couple squeals as well. I assumed the flashes were from cameras, and Harry slowed down and then stopped at the stop light which I had expected him to run through. Behind us when was a big van looking car, Harry looked at the mirror and shook his head seeing them in the background. More flashes engulfed us when we were stopped but as soon as the light turned green Harry was back going at least five miles over the speed limit again.
We stopped for the final time in front of a large plaza with tons of shops all around us. Harry jumped back out of the car triggering an eye roll from me and a chuckle from him. He opened my door and as I stepped out I noticed all the people crowding around, “Put your sunglasses on, it will help with the flash,” he said as the van pulled out behind us and four big men stepped out, but I only recognized one. He was the man that bought us from our captor, I hadn’t seen him sense that day and as pictures from my time with the evil man came back my body froze in place. The man came up to Harry and took his large hand placing on top of Harry’s head and moving it to mess up Harry’s hair, “I don’t know why you always insist on trying to outrun me Styles, after a few years you think that you’d realize we need to be with you when you go out and that we will always be right behind you,” he then patted Harry on the back and smiled. He didn’t seem to evil now, he was just like the boy’s guard dog to protect them and help them. Like a father that was always with you. “Can’t blame a guy for trying can you Paul?” Harry said resting his elbow on Paul’s shoulder. I sighed, Harry was more trouble than he let on to be, I noticed more flashes going off and people screaming now, Paul and the other three men stuck near us, with one of them behind us, two on our sides and Paul leading the charge through the crowd of people. Once we were inside of the shopping area the people thinned out until there was no one bothering us, and Paul with the rest of his ‘helpers’ left us alone.
“They probably just went for a bite to eat,” Harry said, he noticed that I was looking for them. I wasn’t particularly interested in facing a crowd like that again, even more so without Paul, “you get used to it I promise, now come on we have some shopping to do!” Harry put his arm out for my in link with; I placed my hand on his triceps and walked with him into a large store. Harry walked up to the front desk and said to the lady behind the counter, “I’ve come for the fitting I scheduled the other day please,” she didn’t look up from her desk.
“I’m going to need a name sweetheart,” she stated bluntly. The woman was in her mid-forties with black hair and red lipstick on that stained parts of her teeth. Harry chuckled again, “of course, I’m sorry. The reservation is under the name Harry Styles,” the woman typed it into her computer, before looking up again to see if Harry was truly who he said he was. She nodded and then walked out from behind the front desk and shook our hands, “Follow me Mr. and Ms. Styles,” I was going to open my mouth and tell her I wasn’t his wife but I knew that she wasn’t really interested in details so I stayed quiet.
Lead by the sales woman Harry and I walked around a large dressing area with thousands of dresses in all different colors as well as thousands of different kinds of suits that came in every shade of white, grey, black and earth tones imaginable. She directed me into a dressing room where there was a floor length dress that had many shades of blue sparkles, along with three quarter length sleeves, a slit in the side that went up the a bit above the middle of my thigh and a collar that hung off my shoulders. There was also a pair of heels with straps that laced around my foot and ended up above my ankle, luckily they weren’t that high. After I changed I heard a knock at my door, “It’s Harry let me see how you look,” I timidly stepped out to see Harry wearing a crisp black tux and pants that both looked almost blue in the right light, along with a bow tie and a small handkerchief in his pocket that matched the color of the base of my dress. Harry gave me the head to toe scan and instructed me to turn, I did as he asked and when I had done a full 360 stopped to look at Harry again, “you look beyond perfect,” I looked into the mirror, this was going to take some getting used too.
