7. Chapter 7
It had been two and a half weeks since the accident, so I was allowed to go home, well Melissa's home anyway. Polly was applying her eyeliner in the hospital toilet's mirror, practising her smoky eye. I had my own makeover too, pink blush on the apples of my cheeks, peach lipgloss and glitter eyeliner.
I looked like a Barbie.
A stretch limousine pulled up in the hospital car park, Polly squealed,
"Ooh, there it is! Lets go!"
She pulled Melissa's slim tanned wrist towards the automatic doors, I stumbled in the high heeled boots Polly made me change into. It turned out wearing high heels wasn't as easy as I had originally thought. Despite the sleet, today was a weird day.
Melissa lived in New York, so a way from Wowfactor studios. I piled into the roomy Limo, taking a glass of champagne gingerly from the small table. Polly wound down the window and let the sleet in,
"Ah, I love Winter, don't you? All the cute fluffy snow and furry winter boots and coats!"
I guessed that the movie stars in this world didn't have to plough the snow out of their driveways on new years eve without gloves.
I just nodded and sipped the champagne, it was really bubbly, I practically choked right there in the back of the Limo.
Polly patted my back,
"Maybe you shouldn't be drinking already, sorry, it was my idea!"
