Lost *Liam Payne*

When she was here, every day was full of light and happiness. Her smile would light up the darkest of days, blue eyes sparkling bright, hair as yellow as the sun. There was never a point in time when I was unhappy when she was around.

Until now.

Now, the skies are grey, dark and depressed. All happiness has disappeared...along with her. She's gone. She left. She never came back.
She's lost. But I'm determined to find her.

5. Chapter 5

"Wow..." Wendy mumbles once I've finished the long story of my life with and without the girl I loved...and lost.

My gaze never left the star filled sky as I told my story. The whole time, feelings that have seemed foreign to me for so long erupted through my body. Happiness when we first met. Anger when we had our first argument. Lust when we first experienced one another's body's. Sadness  when I lost her. They all mixed together within me, like a tidal wave, growing bigger and more intense as time went on.

By the end of my tale, I was practically out of breath, the amount of emotions I was experiencing being too much for me to handle. I could feel the confusion and interest coming off of the young girl next to me.

I glance down at her,  emerald colored eyes staring back up at me. I find myself getting lost in her eyes, a yearning for us to be closer building up inside of me. Her sweet voice breaks me away from my thoughts. "I hope you find her, Liam...you deserve to be happy." She states, standing up on her toes to kiss my cheek lightly. I feel a jolt of an old feeling inside of me, the kiss opening up memories from the past.

My hands place themselves on her small waist, keeping us close. Her eyes widen slightly as I lean into her, our faces only mere centimeters apart. I don't know what made me act like this, a small feeling of guilt showing up in the back of my head. Never have I acted this way with another girl before.

"Liam..." She whispers to me hesitantly, slightly pulling away from me. I lift her up higher, her legs wrapping around my waist. Before either of us could pull away at the last minute, I crash my lips onto hers.

At first, everything seemed ok. Wen kisses me back after a minute or so, pushing her body against mine to the point where there was no space between us. Her delicate arms placed themselves around my neck, deepening our kiss. A fire erupted inside of me, my body feeling alive again.

My hands roamed her small body, taking in every inch of the girl in my arms. But, just as quick as the fiery feeling came to me, it left, leaving me feel dark and guilty. Images of a beautiful blonde haired girl with tears in her bright blue eyes appeared in my mind, as if she was watching me kiss the red haired girl.

The amount of guilt inside of me became too much to comprehend as I continued to kiss Wendy, her hands now pulling at the hem of my white tshirt. Her lips attach to my neck, sucking and biting the skin there. The more my body enjoyed the feeling, the more I hated myself. I shouldn't be doing this.

"Wait...stop..." I whisper, pushing slightly on Wen's shoulders. She hesitates before pulling away, her green eyes staring intently into my brown ones. She looks confused and slightly hurt. "I'm sorry..." I mumble to her, setting her down onto the floor of the porch. "I can't...I can't do this. Not now...not when I know she could still be out there somewhere, waiting for me..." I say, turning towards the now lightening sky. Leaning on the porch railing, I let out a loud sigh, mad at myself for what just happened. How could I let this happen?

We sit there in silence for what seems like a long time. My mind keeps replaying blonde hair and sad, tear filled blue eyes. I feel like a terrible person, like I had just betrayed her.

Then I remember the hurt and confused expression on Wendy's face  when I pulled away from her. She had looked like I had slapped her in the face. Tonight was just a huge mistake. I hurt two girls in the process of everything.

"I'm sorry Wendy..." I state, turning around to face her. She stands in front of me, her gaze dropped to the ground. Her black tank top is slightly wrinkled and bright red hair now out of it's bun, flowing in waves down to her hips. She is a truly beautiful girl. But she just doesn't compare to the blonde haired, blue eyed beauty I once called mine.

Wendy nods as she walks towards the front door of Neverland, her bare feet pattering across the old wood of the porch. As she silently opens the  door and steps partially through, the red haired girl pauses, turning back to me. "Liam?"she questions, her thin eyebrows furrowing together in confusion.

"Yeah?" I ask, not really sure where she was taking this. She looked as if she were thinking long and hard about something. Her large eyes connect with mine as she finally comes up with what she wants to say.

She hesitates or a moment before asking me, "What was her name?" I stand there, silence filling the space around us. Not even a cricket or the ruffle of a leaf interrupt the moment. I take a deep breath, realizing how long it has been since I actually said her name.

"It was...her name was..."I struggle to get the words out, fighting back the tears threatening to fall down my face. Wendy steps away from the door, walking towards me, but stops about halfway. She stands there with her arms crossed over her chest, patiently waiting for my response.

As I stand there, trying to calm myself down, I finally get up the courage to say her name. The name I have tried to forget. The name of the girl that haunts me every second of the day. I begin to say "Her name was..."

"Her name was Harmonie." A deep Irish accent booms from the open door. Wendy and I both turn to see a half asleep Niall standing in the doorway, grey sweat pants being the only piece of clothing adorning his body. His blonde hair is in a mess of bed hair, his blue eyes puffy from sleep. He glares at me slightly before turning his gaze onto Wendy. He smiles sweetly at her before staring me down again.

"Her name was Harmonie." He repeats, his voice bellowing out. A weight forms in my chest, making it hard to breathe. The tears finally pour out of my eyes, silently flowing down my cheeks.

"Her name was Harmonie..." I whisper, copying his words.  "And she was Niall's sister..."

Tense silence fills the air around the three of us. Wendy looks as of she has figured something out while Niall just glares at me with a look of pure hatred.

"She was my sister..." He states, his blue eyes like daggers into my skin. "And you took her away from me..." He spits out at me before turning towards the front door, walking inside and slamming it in both Wendy and I's faces.
