Lost *Liam Payne*

When she was here, every day was full of light and happiness. Her smile would light up the darkest of days, blue eyes sparkling bright, hair as yellow as the sun. There was never a point in time when I was unhappy when she was around. Until now. Now, the skies are grey, dark and depressed. All happiness has disappeared...along with her. She's gone. She left. She never came back. She's lost. But I'm determined to find her.

3. Chapter 3

I'm not sure how long the five of us stood there, staring at the now slightly open front door. I didn't know whether to feel excited or freaked out at the situation. But there was still a little bit of hope inside me.

Slowly, I inched my way up to the porch. As I peered into the shadows behind the door, I could barely make out a shape moving, concealing itself with the door and the darkness. The door would creak it's way open little by little the closer I go to it.

Finally, as I stepped up onto the welcome mat that was placed in the porch, the shape emerged from behind the door and into the light. A girl, with long, wavy red hair down to her hips and eyes the color of emerald, the biggest eyes I've ever seen, protected herself with the rotting wood of the door.

Dumbfounded, I stand there, staring at the unexpected girl in front of me. Once looking me up and down a couple of times, she pulls the door all the way open, revealing her whole self.

She is extremely petite, not in least bit tall. The red haired girl is rather skinny, but has some curves that are  revealed in the black crop top that adorns her fair frame. Her thin legs are squeezed into skin tight black skinny jeans, black combat boots finishing the look. From what I can see, she is an interesting character.

"Uh...can I help you?" She asks, her voice sounding unsure yet annoyed at the same time. I swallow hard, not really sure what to do next. I turn t back to her, glancing at my friends. They all share the same shocked expression, yet Niall's is slightly different. He looks almost in awe of the girl standing before us, his blue eyes wide with wonder.

I turn my gaze back to the green eyes girl, watching as she looks me up and down again, taking in every detail that makes up myself.

I wasn't totally sure what to say, or how to even explain why we are here, but I had to give the girl some kid of explanation.

"Um...yeah. Hi, I'm Liam. These are my friend Harry, Louis, Zayn, and Niall. We were wondering if you...had a place for us to stay. At least for a day or two." I explain, giving her one of my famous smiles. In the back of my mind, I keep seeing replays of blonde hair and blue eyes, the images pushing me to try harder.

The girl takes each one of us in, her wide green eyes staring us down. I felt intimidated by her gaze, my smile instantly dropping. I notice that she makes it through every one of us but stops on Niall. Her brow furrows, eyes squinting slightly, as if she were trying to figure something out. I glance back at my Irish friend, his eyes raking her slim body as hers do the same to him.

"What do you want exactly?" She asks me, her eyes returning to my face. She glances over her shoulder every now and then, as if she weren't alone.

"Just a place to sleep, love. That's all!" Louis surprisingly perks up, joining the red haired girl and I on the porch. The rest of the boys make their way warily up to the front of the house. The girl thinks this over, or so it seems, before smiling slightly at Louis.

"I guess that's ok...we don't have much room, but there should be enough." She states, shyly tucking a strand of her crimson hair behind her ear. Hesitantly, the girl steps aside, welcoming the five of us boys into what seems to be her home.

We all trudge in, the small girl closing the door behind us. The lighting in the entryway is extremely dim, making it hard for me to see anything.

"Follow me..." She awkwardly mumbles, grabbing into my wrist while pulling me further into the dark house. The rest of the boys follow, not wanting to be left behinds n the darkness I guess.

"Oh! I'm sorry. It's so dark." The girl throws in, flipping on a switch when we enter a room. Light floods throughout the small house, my eyes finally able to take in my surroundings. The room is extremely small, somewhat of a family room I suppose, and is cluttered with toys. One couch occupies the room, along with a playpen.

We continue to be led into an even smaller room, the kitchen. A mess of dishes and trash  litters the counters and sink. A table and two mismatched chairs takes up the entire area, barely leaving enough room to walk.

The girl takes us through another hallway, passing two doors that were closed, each with four names written on a colorful paper on the outside. She stops at a door at the end of the hall, turning towards the five of us.

"This is your room. It's not a lot, but it's enough for a couple of days." She explains, smiling slightly at Niall. "I'll leave you guys to it then..." She mumbles awkwardly, weaving her way through our maze of bodies. Niall grabs her wrist, stopping her from leaving. Her eyes meet his before they both blush and look down at the floor.

"What-uh what should we call you?" He asks her shyly, the redness of his cheeks becoming more prominent with every word he speaks. The girl chuckles lightly, reminding me of a girls laugh that I used to know what seems like a long time ago.

"My names Wendy, but call me Wen. Welcome to Neverland!"
