This is it. Today is the day the boys leave me. Four days. That's how long they have stayed here with me and the kids. I don't know what I'm going to do without them. Especially Niall. For the past couple of days, he has taken me out on small surprise dates while the rest of the boys watch the kids. It has been absolutely perfect. But of course, all good things must come to an end.
"The taxi is here, it's time to go Niall..." Louis explains, patting the Irish boy on the shoulder. Niall is hugging me for dear life as quiet tears stream down my face. If I had the choice, I would need let him go.
Yes, Liam and I had had a thing the first night they were here. He had opened me up to new feelings and experiences that I have never endured before. With Niall, it's different. He had opened my heart to all these new things while with Liam, it was just bodily experiences.
"I'll come back for you..." Niall whispers in my ear, kissing me softly on the cheek. The tears keep coming as I hold back pained sobs. I can't lose him, I can't lose any of them. They are family now. The kids adore them just as much as I do.
Hesitantly, Niall pulls away from me, sliding the strap of his red duffle bag over his shoulder. Looking me in the eyes one last time, he attempts to give me one of his dazzling smiles, and then, he's gone. I stand there, alone, for only a minute before I find myself sprinting out the front door calling out his name.
"Niall! Wait!" I yell to him as he puts one foot into the yellow cab that is parked on the curb. He turns towards me, giving me a sad look. I run to him, jumping into his arms. Kissing him passionately, putting every ounce of emotion I could possibly manage into that one last kiss, I wrap my legs around his waist. He pulls away, spinning us around causing me to laugh lightly.
"I love you..." I whisper, my green eyes locking with his blue ones. Niall's face lights up, his adorable smile appearing on his lips.
Swinging us in a fast circle, he yells out to the world "I love you too, Wendy!" I laugh uncontrollably as he spins us in happy circles, the rest of the boys whooping and cheering from the taxi.
Niall sets me down on the ground, whispering "I promise, I'll be back for you..." I nod slightly as he presses our foreheads together, my eyes fluttering close. I gasp as Niall's lips crash onto my for a mere couple of second before he pulls away, jogging over the cab.
The tears begin to fall down my face, but a smile appears there as well. My heart swells with love for that boy. Love for each one of those boys.
All five of them manage to stick their arms out of a window, waving goodbye. Beau, Milo, Emerson, and Lily all stand on the porch waving back to the boys that they refer to as their "uncles" now. I smile, nodding to them.
As they drive away, I whisper "Don't forget about us..." Hoping that they never will. I make my way up to the porch, herding the kids inside the house, praying that Niall will keep his promise.
Taking one last look down the street towards their disappearing taxi, I quietly shut the door of Neverland.
