“If I lose my devils, I’d lose my angels.”

"Who are you?"

As that question came, I didn't really know what to answer. Not because I didn't know my own name, but because I felt like he was asking me what kind of person I was. And I didn't know exactly what the right answer would be.

The man pushed me harder on the wall, applying too much pressure - enough for me to groan in pain. I swallowed hard, my gaze meeting his as I breathed heavily. Beads of sweat forming on my forehead. My hands grasped his arms.

"Am I gonna have to ask you again?" he asked through greeted teeth. I tensed my jaw, flashing him my famous 'is-that-a-threat?' look. I was good at playing tough.

"Why are you here?" he demanded. "Who sent you?"

"Why?," I chuckled humorlessly. "Are you actually expecting someone to come break in your house?"

He scowled, pushing me harder. I could feel my wound being cut open but I managed to keep a straight face, "Actually I was," he whispered. "I just didn't expect it to be a kid."

"You calling me a kid?"

"Maybe?" he mocked. I gritted my teeth, getting fed up by him. I've always had a short temper.

Smirking, I kneed his stomach, causing him to let go of me as he curled up in pain. Gripping him by the shirt, I collided my fist with his jaw. As soon as he regained his balance, I went in for another jab but he dodged it and punched me in the gut. Doubling over, I charged to get back at him but was cut off by a scream. Looking over to where the bed was located, I saw the little girl trembling. Her cheeks flushed with tears. I felt my heart drop, memories swarming my head as the picture of Jason appeared in my head. The way he cried in fear every night, seeing the same scene unfolding at the time.

Completely dozing off, a sudden force knocked me down on the floor. Hard enough to bring me back to reality. This was no time for reveries.. This was all just a part of the job. Nothing personal,. Wiping the side of my busted lip, I tried to stand up but he pinned me down.

"Answer my question, asshole," he growled. "Who sent you?"

"I don't recall," I answered nonchalantly, smirking as his face heated with anger.

"Don't play games with me kid."

"We haven't even started yet."

"What's happening here?!," a voice interjected. I immediately snapped my head towards the door.

Oh, family reunion.

I tapped the steering wheel impatiently, my heart racing and my stomach churning uncomfortably. I had many thoughts filling my head. Horrible thoughts. I was worried as hell. Justin was meant to be here by now. But he wasn't. And I was starting to get the feeling that something might have happened. All we planned was we were going to take the little girl Logan mentioned the Roches had. The child had nothing to do with her parent's dirty works. But it wasn't that hard of a job considering that Justin was doing it.

20 minutes have already gone by. He had 10 minutes before the bomb blows up. Sucking in a deep breath, I reached for the rifle I had for myself before hopping off the car. I didn't care if Justin told me to stay away. I was going to be a part of this hell anyway.

As soon as I reached the inside of the house, cries had broke the silence of the house. My breathing pattern started to hitch as I swallowed hard and followed the sounds. My knees getting weaker every step I took.

Just as I reached the source, I almost passed out at the horrific sight. Justin was in the corner, his knees bent as his elbows rested on them. He looked distant as he stared at the lifeless bodies in front of him. His clothes soaked with blood. I stood there, frozen as tears engulfed my eyes, my hand flying to my mouth.

"Wh-wha..." I couldn't find my voice, my heart skipped every two beats as I backed up.

"They caught me," he rasped, emotionless. "I had no choice..."

Shakily diverting my gaze on the girl, my heart felt like it was being ripped and burned. My stomach churning as my whole body shook.

"D-devil... You're devils..."

It felt as though my world started spinning, my feet buried in the ground. I thought I was ready for something like that to happen. And I was wrong. I couldn't handle it as much as I thought I would.

"We..." Justin snapped me out, slowly standing up and wiped his blood dripped nose, "We... have to go..."

The time we got out, was the time I felt so disgusted with myself. The house blew up, leaving no clue that could get us caught. But with that explosion that tore down the once home for a child, was the memories that will forever haunt her. And I was responsible for that.

I broke her chance to grow up with a happy and complete family. A family I'd never had the chance to have or atleast I never felt I had.  She was right. I was a devil.

I gripped the steering wheel tightly, tears blurring my vision as guilt sent daggers inside me. The pain of my body was nothing compared to the weigh in my chest. Neither of us three said a word. All I could hear was the little girl's heart-wrecking sobs and Jason's quiet whimpers. Those sounds were unbearable, I felt like shattering but I couldn't. Not in front of my brother.

I swallowed hard, giving Jason a side-glance, "Are you okay?" I asked softly. He shook his head, tears rolling down his cheeks but he wasn't making noise. I bit my lip, focusing back on the road ahead. It was quiet the whole ride, the girl fell asleep as she cried herself dry -- but Jason and I stayed wide awake.

He wasn't saying anything. Not even asking me where we were going. I wouldn't say he was thinking that we were going home. Because we weren't, and I know he knew that.

We were going somewhere I never thought I'd be going to again. I didn't even know why but it felt like it was the right place.

As soon as I parked my car, I scanned the surroundings to make sure her dad wasn't home. When I saw his car nowhere, I opened the door to get out the car.

"Wh-where are you going?," Jason whimpered, grabbing my wrist. I snapped my head towards him, his bloodshot eyes filled with fear as I gazed at them. I tried hard not to cry and smiled at him,

"Don't worry. I'll get help," whispered reassuringly at him and got out. I limped over their front porch and stood in front of the door. I bit my lip, arguing with myself inwardly. Thinking if I was doing the right decision.

Sucking in a deep breath and letting it out through my nostrils, I rang the doorbell. I was thinking I would regret it, but I didn't. I looked over to where the car was, seeing Jason looking at me with a confused expression. I sighed and focused back on the door, impatiently waiting for it to open.

It was cold outside, I could feel goosebumps form on my skin. The blood that cover me were already dried off. I licked my rough lips, the taste of blood invaded my taste zone. I was already feeling weak at the moment, the actual pain of my bruises hitting me just now and I just realized how beaten up I was. Minutes had gone by and I rang the doorbell again.

Was she ever opening the door?

As if on cue, the door opened and I was met by a pair of chocolate brown orbs. She was on her pajamas and her hair a mess. She blinked couple of times, adjusting her vision and when she realized it was me, her eyes widened with shock. She eyed me up and down, her hand flying to her mouth as she gasped.

"Y-you..." she shakily whispered. "Oh my god..."

The minute I saw her, I didn't know what to say. Why was I even there of all places?

"What happened to you?"

"I... I need your help..."

I shifted on my bed upon hearing the doorbell ring. Fluttering my eyes open, I sat up and looked over at Emily, sleeping soundly beside me.

"Hey, Em. You heard that?" I whispered while I gently shook her.

Moaning as a response, she buried her face on the pillow. I sighed and rolled my orbs before glancing at the clock, seeing it was 4:03 am. Rubbing my eyes, I hopped off the bed. Was I hearing things?

And as if on cue, the doorbell rang again, indicating I wasn't just hearing things. My heart then raced at a thought I had. As stupid as it was, I was actually hoping I was right. That it was him. It was even weird that I suddenly had this thought but could you blame me? No. Blame my brain.

Going out of my room and sprinting down the stairs, I hurriedly went to the living room and approached the front door. I bit my lower lip, grasping the knob debating with myself. Hesitating at first, I pulled it open, a dark figure appearing in my field of vision. I blinked couple of times, narrowing my eyes as I processed their appearance.

Upon realizing who it was - and finally taking in the fact that he was here - my eyes widened in shock as I eyed him up and down, letting his current appearance sink in. My hand flew over to my mouth, my eyes burning at the sight. Tell me exactly why he just wanted to show himself to me when he looked horrible?

"Y-you..." I managed to breath out. "Oh my god..."

He just looked at me, his eyes glistened as our gazes met. I scanned him, everything was a lot to take in. He basically bathe in blood.

"What happened to you?"

"I... I need your help," he rasped out and I could feel my heart skip two beats. I licked my lip, my arms hugging my own figure as I decided on his request. I couldn't just let him in. Why was he even here of all places? Why would he come to me for help? Of all people?

"Why... why would you come to me?" I asked in disbelief and I saw him gaze down, searching for answers I could tell he didn't know himself.

Swallowing hard, he met my gaze again, "I don't know..." he trailed off. I let out a breath and ran my hand frustratedly through my hair. Just then, a car parked not so far from here caught my gaze. Scanning it carefully, I saw  two figures on it. Diverting my gaze back at Justin, I pointed towards the convertible.

"Are those two people with you?" I asked. He nodded.

"You mean you brought two more injured criminals like yourself to--"

"No." he cut me off, "Hear me out first."

Eyeing him suspiciously, pursing my lips as I thought of giving him the chance to explain. Should I? Come on. This isn't some movie. This could be a trap. And one more thing, I wasn't a doctor. Why would he come to me when he's injured - and not to mention, bring two more with him?

Finally nodding, a sigh of relief escaped his busted lips. Gulping down, he gaze down as he started talking,

"I don't mind if you don't wanna help me," he started, his voice low. "But those people need it. I wouldn't be of any disturbance to you after this, I promise." he sighed. "That's my brother and an innocent girl over there."

"How do I know you're not lying?"

"Because I'm not..."

I bit the inside of my cheeks, looking him in the eye. They were filled with sincerity, which was really ironic considering he was someone who couldn't be trusted.

"You... have a brother?" I asked and he merely nodded, licking his chapped lips. I instantly felt sorry and concerned. Don't even dare ask me why.

"Is... is he okay?," I hesitantly asked, rubbing my arm to warm myself as the cold breeze hit me once more.

"No," he shook his head.

"How about the girl?"

"How about you... Are you?" this question made him look down, suddenly finding the ground to be interesting.

"I'm always fine..." he mumbled.

"Bullshit," I murmured as I stepped closer to him, making him back away. "Get in..."

"Wh-what?" he did a double-take.

"Get in," I repeated. "I'll take care of them."

I started to make my way to the car when he grabbed my wrist, making my stomach flush for an unknown reason. Butterflies where swarming inside me and I couldn't even explain it to myself.

"I... I can do it," he said in a low voice. I eyed him up and down, shaking my head.

"No, I can do it. You can barely stand yourself, just get in," I smile warmly. Why was I even doing this?

I  could sense him hesitating, making me smile more. He was adorable. I actually forgot who he was and saw a whole different person with a heart. Not that killer who was always mentioned in the headlines.

"Justin, I can do it," I reassured him. "Just get in. Trust me, I'm helping..."

Swallowing hard, he finally loosened his grip on me whilst he avoided my gaze and stepped back. He slowly nodded and I smiled as I sprinted across the street and to the car. Sighing, I bent down and opened the car door, a teen-age boy with skater hair coming in sight. He was looking at me with his hazel orbs that looked exactly like Justin's. His cheeks were stained with dried tears as his lips and body slightly shook. Looking over at the backseat, I saw a little girl curled up.

I licked my lips and ignored the churning feeling in the pit of my stomach, pulling off the most realistic smile I could muster.

"Hey, you guys okay?" I asked. He gazed down and shook his head, gulping down as tears started rolling down his cheeks. I felt my heart cracked at how sorry I was feeling for them.

"What's your name?" I asked, preventing my voice from cracking.

"Alright, Jason let's get you guys inside okay?" I stated nicely. He looked up at me again, his eyes searching mine then finally nodded. Smiling warmly, I stepped back to let him get out of the car before going for the backseat and lifted the sleeping girl.

"I-I can lift her for you," Jason sniffled. I smile and shook my head as I looked down at him. Yes, down. I was atleast inches taller the he was.

"No, it's fine." I said. "Let's go. It's freezing out here."

As we made our way back, Justin was still standing there, clutching on his shoulder and I now just noticed how uncontrollably it was bleeding. The wound must have been cut open. Hurrying, I stormed in and placed the child gently on the couch before going to Justin for his aid.

"Jase, will you sit down for a minute? I'll take care of your brother first, okay?" I said to Jason nicely and watched him sit on one couch, not saying a single word. Helping Justin sit on one, I stormed up to my room and grabbed my kit before running back down. Emily was still sleeping like a baby.

"Take off your shirt, let me take a look at the wound," I instructed Justin as I kneeled in front of him. Slowly lifting his shirt up, wincing in pain, I watched as his body came into my view. My cheeks instantly flushed red and my stomach back flipped. He was just so.... sexy. His toned eight-pack, the tattoos, just... wow. Damn hormones.

Snapping out of my daze, I scanned the re-opened wound on his shoulder. I cringed at the sight and gulped down, "Damn, it looks awful..." I mumbled.

"You tell me," Justin chuckled. I merely rolled my orbs and started treating the wound. (A/N:Skip that part 'cause I don't know okay? lol.) Once I was done with his shoulder, I grabbed a wet towel and started cleaning his bruises before applying some ointment on them. But when I went for his face, I just had the more clearer view of it. He was gorgeous and he had the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen.

"What?" he asked, his warm breath hitting my face. My cheeks flushed and I immediately looked away, throwing the towel at him.

"Do it yourself, I'm gonna take care of your brother now," I said, avoiding his gaze and went over to Jason who was sitting on a couch with a distant look in his eyes.

"Hi Jase," I greeted, catching his attention. He just looked at me and licked his plump lips.

"Hi..." he rasped out, his voice trailing off.

"It's Reign."

"Reign." he repeated with a small smile.

"So, are you okay now?" I asked. "You want something to eat? Or do you need to talk?"

"Why are you so nice to us?" he asked, his eyebrows furrowed.

I shrugged, "Is that a bad thing?"

"No. I mean, yes. We're law breakers so... yeah," he stammered. I chuckled. He was just so cute.

"You really look a lot like your brother," I said, chuckling. He smiled.

"He doesn't think we look anything alike," he said.

"But you do," I pointed out.

He shrugged, "Maybe we do..."

Just as I was about to say something, I heard a whimper. Snapping my head towards the source, I saw the little girl, starting to cry again. Looking over at Jason, I saw him tense and gulp down.

"Jason, who's the girl?," I asked. He bit his lip and avoided my gaze.

"We... we... k-killed her parents..." he almost whispered, his voice cracking at the end. I gasped, shaking my head in disbelief. I spun around to look at  Justin, him returning it. I felt a pinch at the back of my eyes.

"I can't believe this," I mumbled and walked over to the girl and forced a smile.

"It's okay, sweetie, don't cry." I cooed, glaring over at Justin as I wrapped the girl in my arms.

"P-please don't hurt me," she sobbed. I gently rubbed her back.

"I won't baby, we won't..." I comforted her.

"What the hell is happening here?" I heard Emily's all too familiar voice, causing my head to immediately snap in her direction. Her mouth gaped as she looked around. Oh, damn.
