After crying for three hours in my bedroom at home, I finally come to realize that its for the best. Sephora drove me home earlier.
I don't know what to tell my parents. I can't just go up and say "Oh yeah mom, I'm a vampire and I need you to enroll me in a vampire boarding school please because vampires are in danger of being found out about by humans."
The normal thing that is supposed to happen is that when I turn, I have to make them just think I'm dead. So they will move on and I would go live with a vamp family. If you think about it, its kind of like a foster home. Anyway, not all vampires choose to do that, although its easier to just leave because right when you turn 18 you'd have to leave them anyways. I was in a rare condition were when my vampire family came and found me dying, they changed me and then I felt better within twenty minutes. The same with Destinee. Since that happened that way, I was able to choose not to make my family go through that. You know, finding my body on the side of the road after being hit by a car. Actually, they don't even know that happened at all.
So, now I have no idea. Janise says she will go to the vamp school and ask them for a guide. I sure do need to know what to do soon.
This parts funny. Janise told me to fake being home sick so I don't have to go to school the next few days. Then I will be away in some boarding school, never to see my real parents or the human school again.
"Honey, are you alright? You look like you've been crying." My real Mom says concerned.
"I'm great, Mom." I smile a fake smile. All the worries about saying goodbye fill my head immediately just by looking at her.
To make it worse, I won't even get to say goodbye.
I run into the bathroom and turn the water in the sink on so she can't hear me crying again. This time, its not about human school or vampire school. Its about my Mom and Dad. I know that in the guide, somewhere in there its going to say that all my family and friends that are human HAVE to think I'm dead.
I sit on the floor and pull my knees up to my chest.
Until I hear the front door from downstairs bang open. I leave the bathroom, not bothering to turn off the water. Some one is here that should not be.
BOOM! I hear a shotgun. BOOM! Another. I don't even get all the way downstairs before I find out who just shot, why, and who died downstairs.
