I ran from the bathroom, the black streaks on my face had dried. I ran from the building, I didn't know where I was going. I just kept running far, far, away. I knew I had to get away from there. I kept running until I didn't know where I was. I looked around. I was in the woods. I went and sit on the stump. I looked around. It was beautiful, unlike me. Nobody likes me, I'm pale, I have pink hair, blue eyes, I'm fairly skinny, and I'm tall. Oh and by the way, my name is Alex. I have 100% straight hair, unless I style it with wand or curling iron. I'm weird and different, that's why I only have one friend. Her name is Tara, but I call her Bunni. (Long story) She has blue hair, she's a little more tan than I am, and best of all, she has beautiful eyes! They are outlined in purple around the purple and around the iris. But in the middle, it's emerald. She's tall and skinny, like me. She gets bullied sometimes, too. We are sometimes called the Albi twins at school because we are so pale. Hateful hags. But almost everything they say is true... I'm ugly and stupid? Pretty much. So I guess I understand why they hate me, I hate me, too.
Once I was cool and collected, I shot Bunni a text saying for her to come to my house, and that I'd be there soon. She texted back right away. I looked at the time, wow! It was 2:35, school got out 25 minuets ago! Had I really been gone that long? I got up and started walking out of the woods. Luckily, I knew what general direction I had come from. I eventually found the main road and then I knew exactly where I was and I headed home.
When I got home,'I pulled out my key and unlocked my door. I went to sit on the couch, but when I did I realized I was thirsty. So, I got up and got a Caprisun. I heard a knock on the door, and I figured it was Bunni.
"Come in." I screamed, and she smiled as she did.
I gave her a welcoming smile.
"Oh, honey," she cooed " You look like crap, what happened?" She gave me a concerned look.
"I know, I know. Come with me and I'll tell you." I led her to the bathroom so I could wash my face. "They bullied me... For like the millionth time. This time they said I was ugly, and stupid, etc, and they shoved me and kicked me."
"Oh, honey," she repeated. She pulled me into a warm embrace. "It's ok, they're just stupid bitches that don't know what they're talking about. You're beautiful, wonderful, and defiantly not stupid."
"Aw, you're the best! That's why I love you!" I smiled wide. And I'll have you know, I'm straight, not that there's anything wrong with the lgbt+ community... I love her in the family/ best friend way.
She smiled and I laughed. I went over to the sink and started washing my face. When I was done I faced Bunni and asked what she wanted to do. She giggled and said that we should watch movies. I happily agreed. We didn't know it then, but it would turn into a sleepover because we fell asleep with happy thoughts in out heads.
