"I'm so excited!" I squealed. Shawn and I were on our way to the airport to California for the next stop on the tour.
"I'm excited that you're coming with me this time. Traveling on planes by myself is pretty boring." Shawn said. When we got to the airport we had to go through security which took longer than it honestly should have. Finally our plane was called and we were boarding onto the plane.
"In a couple hours I will be away from this winter wonderland know as Canada and be tanning on the beaches of warm California." I closed my eyes and laid back in my seat slowly falling asleep.
"Cass we're here." I opened my eyes and saw Shawn smiling at me. I laughed.
"Only creeps watch others sleep."
"Well I could have just left you here if you prefer that." I playfully rolled my eyes at him and got up to get my stuff.
After we got out luggage we went outside to wait for our ride. The warm California air felt amazing. A light breeze was blowing to make the atmosphere even more perfect.
"I could live here." I said. Shawn nodded in agreement.
"Cam should be here.." He looked at the clock on this phone. "20 minutes ago. Typical Cam." He laughed. Finally a car pulled up in front of us and a tall boy with light brown hair stepped out.
"Shawn!" He shouted embracing Shawn. They pulled away and looked at me.
"Cam this is my best friend Cassie. Cassie this is Cameron." I held my hand out to shake it but instead was pulled into Cameron's chest.
"Nice to meet you. I've seen your vines and I've gotta say you're pretty funny." He blushed.
"Thanks! The guys are really excited to see you two."
We pilled all of our luggage into the trunk of Cam's car and started on our way to the hotel we're staying at.
"Okay just a heads up, the guys can be pretty loud." Shawn warned me as we walked to the hotel room door.
"Shawn have you not met me? I'm practically the queen of loud." Shawn laughed and shook his head. Cameron slid the key card and opened the door revealing a bunch of yelling.
"We're back!" Cam shouted. The yelling stopped and all the attention was averted me Shawn and I.
"Shawn!" 8 other boys yelled running up to us. They all pilled into a group hug. I wasn't one to hug so I stepped aside to avoid the mess.
After their little love fest, they looked at me. I awkwardly waved.
"Um hi." They all smiled and waved.
"Oh sorry. Guys this is Cassie, Cassie the guys."
"You guys can call me Cass or Cassie just so you know and I already know who you guys are thanks to Shawn."
"Are you guys dating?" Matt asked. I vigorously shook my head.
"What the hell? No we're just friends."
"Well this just became awkward. Sorry about Matt. I'm Nash." He introduced himself smiling. I smiled back.
"So um not that I don't want to share a room with a bunch of guys, but do I get my own room?" I asked.
"Oh yeah our tour manager Nick has that covered, you're right next door." Shawn said.
Carter picked up something off of a coffee table and handed it to me. "Here's your key card." I took it and grabbed my bags to take into my room.
"See you guys later." I said shutting the door. I slid my keycard in an opened the door revealing my room. There was one king sized bed, a bathroom, living room, and a kitchenette. I set my bags down and took out my phone laying down on the bed. I had 4 missed calls and 3 text messages.
*2 misses calls from Mom*
*1 missed call from Emily*
Emily was my other best friend. I was pretty upset because she couldn't come but I told her I'd keep her updated everyday.
*1 missed call from Eric*
I rolled my eyes and went to the text messages. All 3 were from Eric.
'Look Cassie I'm sorry. I made a mistake for dumping you.'
'Cass please text me back.'
'I love you'
I told myself that I would never cry over a guy but I actually did feel sadness over the breakup. Eric and I had been dating for a year and we'd been through a lot together. He was pretty much my first everything so the emotional connection was still there. I let a tear escape my eyes but quickly wiped it when I heard a knock at my door.
"Hey Cass we're going to get..wait are you okay?" Shawn asked me. I nodded my head.
"Yeah of course. What were you saying?" He raised his eyebrow looking unconvinced.
"We're all going out to get something to eat."
"Okay let me go get my wallet." Before I walked away Shawn grabbed my hand and turned me around to look at him.
"Look Cass you're my best friend, and you know you can talk to me about anything." I felt my eyes starting to water but quickly shook it off. I'm not a girly girl and I hate crying in front of people. But I knew that I could tell Shawn anything, but there was stuff that I haven't told Shawn yet.
I nodded my head and gave him a little smile and released my hand from his.
Sorry for the long wait!! Here's chapter 2! I hope you guys enjoyed it :) Please comment and tell me what you guys think because I would love the feedback to know how I can improve xx
