9. The Dark part 2
She was funny. I knew she was fun to be around by looking at the way she acted with Eleanor and Isabelle, but she wasn't like that with me. I wanted her to be like that with me. I wanted her to be herself like she just was with me all the time. The wind started up. It was getting really cold and it was already really dark. I heard Clara take in a deep breath and I looked at her as she hugged her arms.
"Are you cold?" I asked her. Stupid really. Obviously she was or she wouldn't of hugged her arms.
"Yeah, it's getting cold." She said. I took off my plaid shirt that I was using as a layer up and put it over her shoulders.
"Here." I said.
"Thank you." She whispered.
"Guys!" Louis called back to us. "Hotel! There's a hotel!'
Thank god. I was so relieved. I put my arms in the plaid shirt and we hurried back to their side. Harry was still to my left and Isabelle was beside me to my right. We could see the hotel, it wasn't far, maybe a ten minute walk.
"Are you okay?" Isabelle asked in a whisper while Harry talked to Liam. I nodded.
"It was really weird. I mean.. It was so unexpected." I explained.
"She wouldn't ever be here, or around here. She doesn't know where here is, neither does Amanda." She placed her hand on my shoulder. "We're safe here." I nodded and smiled. "Plus, where did you get the shirt huh?" She winked and joked.
"Ha ha, very funny." I teased her.
We finally arrived at the front doors of the hotel. It was pretty big. And as we walked in through the front doors I was almost certain that a bunch of girls were going to somehow attack us, however they didn't. We walked through the doors and got one room for the girls and one room for the boys. Louis pulled out his wallet.
"I-" I was about to protest when Eleanor covered my mouth. She removed her hand and Harry leaned to me ear.
"It's fine." He whispered. I sighed and didn't say anything. "Let's go up to our rooms and get some sleep then." Harry said sounding eager. He placed his hand on my back and encouraged me to begin walking and I did. There was an elevator because the hotel was about 5 stories high. Although, I was kind of scared of elevators as well. Small and dark in there as well. We walked toward the elevator and I swallowed. "We'll be fine." Harry said sounding very confident. I looked up at him a little confused. Could he read minds?
"What?" I asked.
"You're scared. I can feel your heart beating fast." He said matter of fact. Right. His hand. We stepped into the elevator and the rest came in as well. We were all squashed together. There was literally no room to move in. My whole back was firmly pressed against Harry's chest and Louis' back was pressed into my chest.
"I love when we're all so close." Louis joked as he rested his head on my shoulder. I giggled and I heard Harry chuckle. The elevator began moving and I seemed to have grabbed Harry's wrist, tightly. The elevator stopped moving. A couple of seconds passed but the doors didn't open. Oh great, this day was probably the best day ever. I'm joking. This was horrible. My heart started beating even faster but then relaxed when the doors finally opened and we all began to file out. I let g of Harry's wrist. The boys walked us to our door which was three doors down from their room.
"I'll never get on that elevator again." I said to Harry as we walked.
"Then you and I can go down the stairs." He smiled at me. We stopped in front of the door. I chuckled.
"Right!" I said as I remembered I had his jacket, I began taking it off but he stopped me.
"No, no! Keep it." He said.
"Are you trying to tell me I have a bad taste in clothes? Is that why you keep giving me your clothes?" I joked. He laughed.
"No, no! It looks better on you anyway." He said. I smiled, then I snapped out of it. He probably said this to everyone.
"Seriously, I insist. Take your shirt." I went to pull one arm out and he grabbed my arm gently.
"No. It's fine."
"But I can't just take your clothes."
"Fine, then you can give it to me tomorrow." He replied. I smiled and nodded.
"Let's get some sleep." Eleanor said. "Let's go inside."
"Okay, then good night." I said to Harry.
"Good night." He looked at me for a second too long and let go of my arm, and I walked into the room without looking back.
