6. Nothing but Lost
There were so many reasons as to why I loved Saturday's. Mostly because I got to sleep in and just enjoy the day. I stretched one final time in my bed and sat up, opening my eyes slowly I reached my hand over to my bed side table to pick up my phone. I checked my phone and noticed I had nothing. There was a wash of relief. Nothing. It made me happy. It meant I had nothing I needed to do right now. I got out of bed and walked into the bath room. I tied my hair up into a messy bun and washed my face, then I headed to the kitchen for a glass of water. I filled my glass of water up to the top and drank half of it then walked to Isabelle's room. I opened the door wide.
"Isabelle." I called. And of course she gave me her usual response. Nothing. She slept as if she were dead. "Isabelle. I'm going to wake you up now." I called again, but nothing. I walked over to her bed and poured the rest of the water over her head. She screamed and sat up.
"You..." She warned. I couldn't help but laugh. "Every weekend." She puffed and wiped her face with the bed sheet.
"You made me promise you to wake you up every weekend whenever I woke up so you could get stuff done during the day." I reminded her. She looked at me in thought for a second.
"True.." She said. "Well, I suppose we should get up right? I should get up." She corrected herself. Just then my phone began to ring, it was Eleanor, so I answered.
"Good morning, Eleanor." I started.
"Good morning! I have great news!" She chirped.
"What is it?" I asked, almost as excited as she was.
"So, ever since Thursday night from the party Liam kept coming up to me and asking about Isabelle. He wanted to meet up with her again but apparently they never got around to exchanging numbers, so, he wants to surprise her by meeting up with her today but he doesn't want to be alone with her yet so what he suggested was that you tell Isabelle that us three are going to go to have lunch today at 2 and then to a movie so it's a surprise to her! Okay?" She asked. Wow. Liam hitting on Isabelle. I felt so excited for her.
"Okay! Message me where we're going to have lunch at and we'll be there at 2."
"Okay! Remember, it's a secret. Oh and make sure you dress up yourself as well!" She added. I agreed and then we hung up the phone.
"What was that about?" Isabelle asked. I nonchalantly looked at her.
"Eleanor wants to have lunch with us then see a movie today, so I agreed with her." I replied. She smiled at me and nodded her head.
"Sounds like fun." She replied.
Time had passed and it was already 2. We got out of the taxi and saw Eleanor, Louis, Liam, and to my surprise, Harry. Why was Harry here? I thought this was supposed to be a surprise for Isabelle. I shook off the thought and walked with Isabelle to the table that they were at and we all greeted one another. When we took our seats Eleanor and Louis sat across each other and beside Louis sat Liam and next to him was Isabelle. And I was next to Eleanor sitting beside her, wishing I could pour a glass of water down her head as well, for not telling me that Harry was going to be here. I had on a pair of light blue high waisted denim jeans along with a plain grey crop top and a black bag along with my favourite cut out ankle boots. My hair was parted from the middle as it usually was and I had straightened it because dealing with curly hair was hard.
"There's paparazzi everywhere." Harry said sounding quite annoyed. "We should go." Thankfully we had all finished our lunches before he said this. Everyone stood up and began walking.
"We came with a six seater car, so we can all fit and go to the movies." Louis said happily. We all walked to the car where the paparazzi couldn't get into and stopped by the car. Louis looked at Eleanor and gave her a cheeky smile and she gave one right back. "Okay, so I'll drive, Eleanor will sit in the passenger seat and you four can have the back." He chuckled and got into the car. Eleanor also got in and when I opened the door to the back I realised something. The car was only a five seater. I sighed. They were so evil, but very smart as well. Maybe we could get Isabelle to sit on Liam's lap.
"How's this going to work?" I asked looking back at Liam and the other two.
"I know. You can sit on Harry's lap and Isabelle can sit on mine." Liam said happily. I looked at him confused.
"Three can sit on the seats." I pointed out.
"No, the middle seat has no seat belt. It broke off today somehow." He said.
"I think we can still use it. I'll sit in the middle." I replied.
"What if something happens to you? There's no seat belt so you could get hurt. At least if you're on Harry's lap he can hold you-" I stopped listening from that point. "Right?" He asked trying to get my attention. Harry was standing silently but smirking, looking at the floor.
"That's right." Harry said. "Now lets stop talking about this and get in the car. We could be missing a good film. Come on. Liam get in first." He said. I sighed again. We waited and watched as Liam got into the car.
"Be nice. Who knows what could happen." Isabelle whispered in my ear before getting in and sitting on Liam's lap. He wrapped his arms around her waist and held her gently. Then Harry got in. This was going to be the worst day ever. I could just feel it. He held out his hand for me.
"Come on." He smiled. I took his hand and got in the car and sat on his lap with my knees facing toward Isabelle. Harry closed the door and wrapped one of his arms around my waist and let his hand rest on my lap. His other hand was also resting on my lap. Great.
