7. Nothing but lost Part 2
Great! I honestly think that she hates me or something. I hadn't done anything wrong to her. Not that I could think of. What should I say to her? What could you say to a girl like Clara. She was intimidating. She obviously has walls up. Louis started driving, pulling out of the car park.
"Sorry." She said.
"Why?" I asked confused.
"I must be so heavy on your lap right now. I promise to pay for any medical attention you might need on your legs after this." She made a joke. And it was good, I laughed. Maybe I had the wrong impression of her? No I couldn't have. But I wasn't complaining if she was smiling and making jokes I'll take that as a good sign.
"You're not heavy." I assured her. We were out on the road now. There was paparazzi all in the streets.
"Does it ever get tiring?" She asked.
"Does what ever get tiring?"
"Having the paparazzi follow you everywhere?" She was curious if we ever got bothered.
"Yes. It's very annoying, but there's nothing I or anyone else can do about it. And that annoys me even more." I said.
"There should be a law to protect people from the paparazzi." She said. I chuckled a little. And all of a sudden Louis slammed his foot on the breaks and I pulled Clara to my chest and held her tightly. Her face was buried in my neck. "What the hell, Louis?" I said.
"Sorry, sorry. That was completely my fault. Are you guys okay?" He asked looking back. I placed my hand on Clara's back as she pulled her face away from my neck.
"Are you okay?" I asked her. She nodded and gave a small smile. "We're good." I replied and as did Liam. Louis started driving again.
"Thank you." She said in a quiet voice.
"You're welcome." I smiled. As the drive proceeded I began to get lazy, so I slumped back in the seat a little.
"Where are we?" Liam asked.
"Shut up! We're on our way to the cinema." Louis said sounding half confident.
"Do you know where we are?" I asked him. He laughed but didn't reply. "Great we're lost." I murmured. Clara yawned, which made me yawn. "Are you tired?" I asked her. She looked at me for a second. It seemed like she was tired. Liam and Isabelle were talking and laughing and so were Eleanor and Louis and the radio was on.
"A little." She replied. She looked outside the window. "Louis, are we in the forest?" She asked shocked. I looked outside the window.
"Louis, what in the world.. What are you doing?" I asked. "We're completely lost." I said.
"No we're not. I know this great place just hold tight." He replied. I had my hand resting on Clara's lap. I wanted to see her smile again.
"Why don't you smile? It suits you." I said quietly. She looked at me and I could see her cheeks go a slight bit pink. She then smiled and looked away. "That's better. Every time you don't smile, I'm going to have to tickle you. You're ticklish aren't you?" I asked her. She looked at me and her face had 'yes' written all over it but then she put on a poker face.
"No. I'm not ticklish." She replied.
"Then you wouldn't mind if I tried tickling you?" I asked. She opened her mouth to speak but didn't say anything. I tickled her side a little and she began laughing. "I knew it." I tickled her again and she grabbed my hands in an attempt to stop me. I stopped and she still held my hands. After she stopped laughing she opened her eyes.
"Where are we?" She asked as her grip on my hands loosened. I looked out the window as well and we were in a place with all trees. No roads. No other cars, no houses, nothing. Her hands let go of mine completely and I felt weird. I looked down at our hands. Hers sat right beside mine, not even a centimetre away. I wanted to touch her hands. If only I could move them a bit so they could touch again.
"Uh.." Louis looked back at us, "We seem to be lost." He grinned.
