10. Move A LIttle Closer
It was now the next morning and then we heard a knock on the door. Isabelle opened the door as Eleanor and I came out of the bathroom after washing our hands.
"Morning guys!" Louis called.
"Morning." Eleanor smiled and kissed his cheek. "Let's get going then." We could only see Louis at the door.
"Where's everyone else?" I asked as I stepped out the door.
"I told them to wait downstairs." He smiled. We closed the door and Eleanor had the key. We walked down the hallway as we listened to Louis tell us how last night he accidentally walked into the wall. We were all laughing when we heard panting and running noises heading our way. I looked straight ahead and saw Liam and Harry running toward us. "Oh no." I heard Louis say before he also began running back toward our hotel door with Eleanor's hand in his.
"Run!" Harry yelled as he ran toward us. What in the world was happening? Fans? "Come on!" Harry yelled as he passed me he grabbed my hand and pulled me with him. We ran back to our door and Louis struggled to put the key in the key hole.
"Shit!" Louis yelled. And all to quickly there was so many fans running down the hallway. I turned around to look. There were so many of them. "Thank god!" I hear Louis again, but I was yanked inside before I could tell what was happening. I was standing beside Eleanor and I was kind of out of breath. Louis and Harry had their backs against the door. "You know what. I'm still an idiot for thinking we could leave peacefully." Louis muttered. Eleanor walked toward him and wrapped her arms around his neck. It was like she knew what he needed cause they both slid to the floor and he wrapped his arms around her and hid his face in her neck. They were so cute. Harry moved away from the door.
"Are you okay?" He asked me. I nodded slightly.
"The real question is are you okay?" I asked him. He smiled and gave me the thumbs up.
"Dammit!" Liam said. "They got my hat." And he laughed a little.
"What happens now?" Isabelle asked.
"We wait for security." Liam replied. All I could hear was the screaming of the girls from outside.
"Maybe we should wait somewhere quieter." I suggested.
"Good idea." Louis replied. Eleanor and Louis stood up and we all walked to the room at the end of the hallway and closed the door. We could still hear the girls from outside but I suppose that was normal seeing as they were all yelling at the top of their lungs. Harry threw himself on the double bed and I sat on the comfortable sofa at the corner of the room. Eleanor and Louis sat beside me, filling up the whole sofa. Isabelle sat on a chair and Liam threw himself on Harry, causing Harry groan.
"Let me up!" Harry struggled. Liam laughed and rolled off of him.
"How long is it going to take? Or.. How long does it usually take for security to settle everything down?" Isabelle asked.
"A couple of hours. Some times 5 hours. It depends really, but it's never quick enough." Liam said in reply.
"Great. I'm going to sleep then." She replied and went on the bed once Harry got off. She laid down and curled up under the blanket. Liam just observed her in a curious but interested fashion. I felt a smile creep up on my face. He laid down on top of the sheets and closed his eyes. Was everyone really just going to sleep? I was going to get so bored. My phone began to vibrate. I was getting a call. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and excused myself of the room and walked back into the living room.
"Hello?" I started
Yes. I was waiting for Louis and Eleanor to give up and fall asleep as well. And as expected they did fall asleep within minutes and I left quietly. I stood in the hallway and listened in on Clara's conversation. It sounded like she was talking about work. She was. She was instructing them to something. I heard her sit down and I peaked a little. She had her head in her hand and then she hung up the phone.
"Do you mind if I join you?" I asked. "Everyone fell asleep and I can't sleep once I'm up." She lifted her head and smiled.
"Me either. And of course." She patted the seat beside her. I walked over and sat a couple inches away from her.
"So what happened? If you don't mind me asking." I said.
"It's just work. They're so hopeless some times." She replied looking at me then she looked away. She leaned back and rested her head on the back of the sofa.
"Sounds hard." I replied. "But, they're lucky."
"Lucky?" She asked me.
"Yeah. I mean, they get to see you almost everyday." She giggled a little and I felt satisfied.
"Thank you." She replied. "Can I asked you something?" She asked.
"You just did. But of course, go on." I joked. There was no way I'd decline anyway. I know I only met her twice but it was like she never really wanted to talk to me and now we were and I was so relieved. Maybe she did want to talk with me.
"Do-" She started but of course she got cut off, like it happened in movies. How annoying. But we got cut off by girls screaming at the door and then we heard someone drop to the floor. I stood up quickly and walked to the door in a rush to look through the peephole. Someone had fainted. I hated situations like this. They made me feel so bad and so helpless. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and dialled...
"What happened?!" She asked worriedly as she stood up and walked toward me.
"Someone fainted." When our security answered I told them to hurry up and get everything organised. I wanted to go outside to see if she was okay, but that probably wouldn't end up the way I would like it too. I hung up the phone and then we heard another fan yell from outside.
"Harry! It's your fault she fainted!" The girl seemed angry and upset. I felt horrible. I placed my hand on the door and my head dropped. I didn't want these things to happen, and it wasn't the first time something like this had happened. The girl kept yelling out horrible stuff that made me feel worse.
"Harry." I heard Clara say my name and it took me from my thoughts. She placed her hand on my shoulder. "It's not your fault. Come on." She moved her arm around me and walked me to the couches. We sat down and I rested my elbows on my knees.
"I don't want things like this to happen, you know." I said in a murmur. "I don't want people to be crying and fainting. I just want people to enjoy our music. And no matter how hard I try I can't get everyone to like me. Am I doing something wrong?" I kept talking but it was mostly to myself.
