11. Move A Little Closer Part 2
He was so hurt. You could see it. I didn't know him for that long. Only two days really, but it didn't take and idiot to see how hurt he was. It seemed like he got more upset and frustrated with his work than I ever did mine. I placed my hand on his back as he kept talking and rubbed his back gently.
"You know it's not your fault right? It's nothing you can control, so don't feel so beat up." I said in a gentle voice. He looked at me with a really hurt face and sighed. I couldn't help it. He looked like a hurt little puppy and I pulled him close and hugged him. His arm wrapped around me and he rested his head in the nape of my neck. He went really quiet and he seemed to tremble a little. I hugged him with one arm and with my other hand I rested it on his neck.
"Guys!" Someone called and we both got startled and moved away from each other. It was Liam. He smirked at Harry. "So, security removed all the girls, and they have two cars waiting for us downstairs." Liam replied. I stayed quiet for a second. He was right, there was no more noise coming from outside.
After a long ride back to our apartment, both cars stopped at our apartment. I got out of the car and I saw Harry rush to my side.
"I'm sorry about earlier. I didn't mean to-"
"It's okay." I cut him off. His flannel top! It was tied around my waist. I untied it and handed it to him. "Thank you for this by the way." I said. He smiled.
"Your welcome. And thank you." He said. I smiled at him and he pulled me in for a hug. I hugged him back and when I pulled away he asked, "I don't want to sound like a douche, but can I have your number now?" I wanted to sigh. What was wrong with just being friends? I mean, not like he was asking to be my boyfriend or whatever but that's where it was going to lead and when you date someone a break up always, ALWAYS follows. But if you're friends with someone you can keep them forever. That's why I didn't want to date anyone.
"I promise, no douche moves, or come ons." He said. "We only have another 5 weeks left in Sydney, and I really want to make a new friend." A new friend? I couldn't help but laugh a little. "What's funny?" He asked with a smile, like he already knew the answer.
"That was so cheesy. Not in a bad way." I replied. He chuckled a little.
"Then.. Can I?" He asked.
"I promise, next time our paths cross, if they do, I'll give you my number. Now I have to go." I waved at him and walked away with Isabelle who had been waiting for me.
